"Well...," the genie said. "I would die. Hence my reluctance."
"Yes, I can understand that," Kate said softly.
"Just think about a good wish to make your new life as a woman as pleasant as possible. That's all I can advise you," calmly said the genie, as his staying in the lamp took its whole meaning.
Kate left the genie to his musing and he left her return to her own. So she returned to her own thoughts. She wanted to be male again, that was her wish now, her one and only. But it looked like this one was off the table so Kaye had to find a way to make her time as a woman, meaning the rest of her life, as nice as could be devised. The genie would be practical in this endeavour. Kate noted down a few ideas on a notebook. A bright pink notebook with red hearts. He almost grumbled very audibly but refrained himself. Not only had the curse made him a hot girl but a very girly one indeed. And his family now adjusted to this new reality, so they all expected this from him, er, her. How was he supposed to keep up this crazy charade? They'd wonder why her tastes and attitude got altered so rapidly and so drastically. So wishing for eternal riches was very practical, if basic, but for another family much more accepting of his tastes would also be quite easier. If it wasn't for his damn sexual transition... And he'd have do deal with this all his life? Deal with menstrual cycles, guys hitting on him, pregnancies or other hormonal problems? No thanks! Could he just say he was a lesbian? And if he did not want this body now, what would it be as he aged and had to deal with an increasingly decrepit body? The wrinkles, the saggy breasts, the dry sexless vagina, the missing teeth, the thinning hair, the overall crumbling of the body... Just the thought was enough to make want to hurl. Ugh! No! Horrible! No way he'd become an old toothless lady! That he could not face! And indeed, he preferred dying a young pretty girl rather than getting old. Maybe he could wish to die young? Although the prospect was not pleasant at all... Oh! But he could just wish for eternal youth and beauty! That would be a solution. Oh, he'd be female still, for sure, but not facing old age, never! With that and riches and a new family, it would be perfect!
"Hey, Genie! I know what wishes I want!"
"All right. I hope you've thought long and hard. Because magic can be fickle, to say the least."
"Yes! My first wish is to be incredibly rich forever, my second wish is to be young and incredibly beautiful forever, and my third wish is to have a new family that supports me and accepts me for who I am," said Kate enthusiastically.
"Very well. Hopefully things will turn out pleasantly for you. As you wish," said the genie.
An instant later, Kate was engulfed by a blast of magic, spiriting him into his new life.
