After a while, Jason heard voices outside her cocoon.
"Where the hell IS Krys, Lucy?" said one voice. "I thought she'd be in the penis aisle for sure."
"Who the fuck cares?" said the other voice, which apparently belonged to someone named Lucy. "I just wanna fix my mistake and get you fucking hairy again."
"Hey, why's there a huge tree in the middle of the shop?" asked the first voice. "And why's it covered in so many caterpillars?"
Her curiosity piqued, Jason tore her cocoon open to say hello to the strangers. After all, she'd have to come to terms with her new species and gender sooner or later. The new fairy tumbled gracelessly out of her cocoon, nearly crashing to the ground before she remembered to flap her dragonfly wings and take flight.
Jason found herself fluttering in front of two young women. One was a tall, thin redhead dressed in stylish designer clothes. The other was a short, buff Chinese tomboy dressed like a skater chick. "Uh, hi there?" said the redhead, waving to Jason. "I'm Sierra Belville, and this is my friend Lucy Wong. Where'd you come from?"
"That cocoon," Jason said, pointing to the burst cocoon. "I found a fairy potion and drank it out of curiosity. Circe told me to let the caterpillars spin me a cocoon to complete the transformation, and, well, here I am. My name's Jason McDermott, by the way."
"Is isn't Jason a bit of a weird name for a girl?" Sierra asked.
"Actually, I was a guy when I was human," Jason admitted. "I was pretty damn startled when I realized I had a pussy and tits." It suddenly occurred to Jason that she was naked, and she hastily tried to cover her boobs and pussy with her tiny hands.
"I think being a fairy girl suits you," Lucy smiled. "You make a really hot fairy girl. That blue hair ya got looks badass! Hey, don't bother covering up; we aren't bothered by nudity. You should probably change your name, though. How does 'Jade' sound?"
Jason thought about it. "Hmm, Jade... I like it! I'm Jade McDermott now! So, what's your story with this shop?"
"It all began when my hippie friend Meadow bought a magic hairbrush to grow out her less-than-impressive body hair," Sierra explained. "It turned out to be my salvation after my rich bitch of a mom forced me to have my own body hair lasered off. I walked in on Meadow and her friend Krystal playing around with the brush, and I begged them to fix me. It was amazing! Meadow even gave me a wild mane like a lion!"
"I... uhh... I don't see one," said Jade.
"That's... actually my fault," Lucy sheepishly admitted.
"Yeah," said Sierra. "Krys wanted to buy something to turn her green-dyed hair natural, so she went over to the shop with me. On the way, we met Lucy. She started asking awkward questions about our body hair, and I tried to keep quiet about the shop. Well, Lucy followed us, and Circe said that she had the right to punish me for nearly keeping her from her destiny or something mythological like that."
"Then I found a magical razor that permanently shaves you," Lucy sighed. "One look at Sierra's mane told me that I'd found the perfect revenge. Unfortunately, I hated the end result as much as Sierra did. It was like I'd vandalized a priceless work of art! We're trying to find a way to grow Sierra's mane and arm hair back, and hopefully meet up with Krys again."
"Cool," Jade said, flying onto Sierra's shoulder. "I'll stick with you. I could use some friends while I get used to my new body."
