Andy moved to the front of the stage as the curtain closed behind him. His stage crew would be putting the next stage show together. "For my next trick, I need someone from the audience to help me. Any volunteers?"
There were several. Some people might be hesitant to volunteer after seeing girls being turned into dogs and a mannequin but Andy knew one truth. Despite how real it was, everyone believed it was a trick. Magic enthusiasts couldn't help but want to get a closer look at it.
It was known that many magicians would call people from the audience, but even then it was still a lovely lady assisting him most of the time. Andy surprised the crowd by picking a guy. He was tall and reasonably good looking, with slightly tanned skin and brown hair. "Please tell everyone what your name is."
"Zack." He spoke into a microphone in Andy's hand.
"Well Zack, thank you for helping with this next trick." Natalie pushed a chest of doors onto the stage. It came up to their waists, and had four drawers. "Thank you Natalie." Natalie smiled and winked at him as she walked off the stage. Andy's heart skipped a beat. The wink wasn't in the script. Did it mean something specific or was she being flirty as part of her role as his assistant. She hadn't done that before he made himself young again.
Andy forced himself away from that line of thinking. He was in the middle of a show and regardless of how old he looked and felt, he had still been around long enough to be her grandfather.
He forced himself to return to his routine. "Zack, I would like you to pick the outfit for the next assistant. In this chest, you will find articles of clothing that will be worn by that assistant." Andy opened up the top drawer. "First up, underwear."
Zack obediently looked through the underwear. There were boxers, briefs, panties, thongs. While discussing this trick with Natalie and Jenny, they decided the underwear would be their way to let the volunteer choose their fate. Jenny was on standby to change the items in the lower drawers to clothing that would match whatever he picked from the top one. A nerd, muscular jock, a goth girl, cheerleader and much more.
While Andy fully intended to return the cheerleaders and Kristen to normal, Natalie and Jenny were pitching that for this trick, the person got to enjoy their new life. Having one person irrevocably changed, could lead to their reputation growing.
Andy was worried about someone's going missing might cause trouble with the cops but Jenny figured a new person coming out of nowhere would help smooth things over. Especially if finger printing was used to verify the identity. Natalie suggested they use the chonivac to help male people more impressed than suicide.
Finally Andy caved and watched as Zach unwittingly sealed his fate when he picked...
