“Don’t go too far!” yelled Chloe as she looked at her 8-year-old son who was already running toward the water.
“Ok mom.” said Ethan as he took off running toward the water.
“Ball of energy that one.” Said her husband Luke as he placed down the last of the stuff from their car on the beach towel Chloe had set up.
“I wonder where he gets it.” Said Chloe
“Please, clearly from you.” laughed Luke “Your mom told me about how much trouble you got into as a kid.”
“Well, you were a troublemaker yourself if I remember, part of the trouble we got into led us to him.” Laughed Chloe with a playful grin before she leaned forward and kissed her husband. There was only one way to have an eight-year-old son when your 29th birthday only happened last week.
“True.” Laughed her husband, becoming a father way too early was something he hadn’t planned for but they had done well for themselves. He had been scared shitless when his then 20-year-old girlfriend had told the then 21-year-old him she was pregnant but with the help of their parents they had made it work. They had been lucky he had already been accepted in a full ride to a trade school and had a job waiting for him in his uncle’s construction company as a mansion. Chloe had a half scholarship for nursing school and while she had to take a year off she had graduated with honors and found a job.
They now lived a good, middle class life and where even talking about having a second child even if the age gap between Ethan and any sibling was a slight concern for both of them.
“Well we came to go swimming and play with our son.” Said Chloe as she kicked off her sandals and pulled down the jean shorts she was wearing. She pulled off her shirt, her long blonde hair falling down around her shoulder blades before she pulled it back into a ponytail. She wore an orange bikini top with white trim around her very large chest. She worked hard to stay fit and she was rewarded for her work, the eyes of her husband was on her as she did this, earning him a playful toss of her hair and a cocked of her hip.
“Maybe, once he tires himself out, you and I can have some fun tonight.” Whispered Chloe in a sexy voice which caused her husband’s manhood to stand on end.
“Hopefully.” Said Luke as he kicked off his sandals and pulled off his shirt, the work as a mason, lifting those heavy bricks and stones had given him some very good muscles and earned an even more approving smile from his wife. His red swimtrunks didn’t fully hide that manhood was at attention. His dirty blonde hair wasn’t as bright as hers, that was semi natural and thanks to coloring, but it did mean one thing.
Both of them where good looking for their age and many of their friends did say they made a good-looking couple.
“Mom…Dad…come here.” Said their blonde hair little boy as he stood by a pillar of rocks near the edge of the beach.
“What is it.” Inquired Luke as both he and Chloe headed over to the spot where their son was. As they neared they began to hear it, the cries of a baby.
“My God, did someone dump a baby?” inquired Chloe as she rushed forward just to stop beside her son, her blue green eyes widening as she looked at source of the cries.
“What is it?” inquired Luke as he approached and looked down, there lying in the sand was a little baby. Couldn’t be no more then 6th months old, likely less and it was crying it’s head off. The issue was, that instead of a pair of little feet, there was a bluish fish tail.
“A mermaid baby?” inquired Luke stunned.
“Or a merman baby?” countered Ethan “What do we do? We can’t leave it to die. Where is their mom and dad?”
“Luke go get your cell phone, call the police….” Said Chloe as her nurse training as well as her motherly instincts took over as she reached down and picked the baby up into her arms. “We need to get someone here to…”
She never got to finish those words as the baby’s cries reached a peak before he or she clapped their hands together and a wave of energy engulfed all of them.
