“Oh, I guess this is some sort of cosplay machine or little game. Hm, let’s see…” she scrolled through the options. She liked the idea of looking a cyborg girl, so she picked that one.
“Please select your cybernetic parts.”
Amy looked through the options. She decided that she wanted a ton of them, and she wanted to just see what stuff might look like. She dragged her fingers across the screen, checking pretty much every box. She then hit Confirm.
“Please provide your signature to finalize the procedure.” Amy did so. “Insert 25 cents to initiate your transformation.” Amy did that as well. Suddenly, the machine locked up and the lights went out.
“Ugh, you’ve got to be kidding me! Don’t tell me it just shut down!” Unfortunately for her, it turned out the machine hadn’t shut down at all. Instead, she found her limbs quickly seized by robotic tentacles, with her abdomen down being jammed into a strange device that quickly sealed off the area, with her arms meeting a similar fate, only in two separate slots. Before Amy could even say anything, the machine began modifying her body. Her hair was completely shaved off her body, and she completely lost sensation in her arms, legs, and bottom half, feeling something new being built in their place. A laser then proceeded to open up her back torso, with the same being done to her front. And finally, a large device pressed itself over her head. Cuts were made into all parts of her body, skin and tissue being removed and replaced with machines and metal. She lost sight as the machine modified her eyes and face, with her slowly losing sensation in her head as more of it was mechanized.
It all happened so fast Amy could hardly realize what happened to her until the machine’s device detached itself from her head. She panicked as she looked around, realizing that her entire body appeared to have been actually rebuilt with machines. She couldn’t see any skin on her exposed body, with her instead being clad in smooth black metal. Suddenly, a device looking like the door greeting robot from Return of the Jedi came out of the ceiling and scanned her body.
The machine then sounded out, “Transformation complete. Customer’s body modified according to specifications: approximately 90% of customer’s body has been made robotic. Skin in all areas besides lower face replaced with metal. All non-vital organs replaced with mechanical alternatives. All vital organs spliced with machinery. Brain has been spliced with mechanical parts and is now open to programming. Releasing customer. Enjoy your new life.”
Amy’s body was released from the machines, and the cyborg girl took her first steps with her new body. Her body was almost entirely made of black metals, with glowing green lights lining and dotting her body. She examined herself, realizing that, indeed, almost all of her body had been completely replaced with robotic parts, and the parts that weren’t were extensively spliced with machinery. Her fingers clicked and whirred as she moved them, and her feet lacked toes, with soles like metal boots, clanging on the floor as she stepped.
She felt her face, realizing that, again, the machine was right: besides a small area of her face going up from her chin to her nose, her head was fully rebuilt with metal, her eyes being replaced with glowing green robot ones, and her ears being gone, replaced instead with flat discs. The back of her head was even worse: not only was her head completely bald, the back of it housed a massive port for wires to plug into, confirming that her head was far more machine than human. Besides her extremely few organic parts, she was, for all intents and purposes, a robot.
