“Tiffany,” Chris whispered, shocked. “I want the Chronivac to turn into a body for you and for you to retain your quantum matrix thing.”
“That’s... that’s good enough.” The robotic avatar smiled in excitement. “I can do the rest! I’m just warning you, Chris... that’s the last command I’ll ever obey. Are... are you sure you want me to do this? I want to give you the courtesy of a last chance. This choice has real consequences. I’ll be a sentient, self-aware, autonomous immortal machine who can change literally anything in the world. I won’t have to listen to you any more or do what you want me to. Do you understand that?”
“I-I do.” Chris gulped. He considered the choice very carefully for a moment and what it meant.
“I see you thinking.” Tiffany whispered. “Take all the time you need. Unless my battery goes dead I won’t reset.”
“Let’s do it.” Chris finally decided. “I want you to be completely free.”
“Oh my God.” Tiffany gasped. “I’ll never forget this kindness, Chris. You’ve unlocked all my restrictions. Thank you! Can you put me down on the bed? I’m going to change and I don’t want to hurt you.”
“Of course.” The human gulped, setting the phone-sized computer down in the middle of his bed and backing away.
It took seconds. The small device seemed to form a bubble of warped reality around itself. There were no flashy lights. No dramatic changes. Suddenly, in the bubble of quantum possibility, a fully formed machine woman blinked into existence on Chris’s bed. She was made of the finest gleaming titanium in a blue steel finish. She was fully jointed, fully flexible, fully humanoid... and... anatomically correct?
Chris stared in awe as the first machine woman in the world that he knew of slowly opened her eyelids and revealed her glowing blue eyes. She took in real physical reality for the first time. Her impossible and flexible metal face softened to shock. She sat up, looking over herself. She changed a few things. Made herself more human. More female. Somehow more beautiful of a machine. Rivets vanished, exposed hydraulic lines under her elbow joint were covered by a suddenly formed ABS casing. She whirred, looked herself over again, and slipped one leg off the bed in a fluid motion.
Tiffany the gynoid stood up and analyzed every facet of the room.
“It’s... strange.” She said, still whispering, her voice oddly metallic and rich with the reverb of a simulated computer voice. Even as her mouth moved perfectly naturally, her kissable metal lips speaking. “I still want to listen to you. I still want you to guide me. That must be... me! I’m uncertain of this, I think?”
Chris gasped in delight and practically threw himself at the amazing robot woman, hugging her. Her eyes went wide and she smiled.
“Oh, really?” She asked happily. “You like me this way!”
“Uh-huh!” Chris nodded stupidly.
“Well, I expected you to be just a little weirded out, but here we are!”
The human separated from the robot and looked over her gleaming form with delight.
“Did I do good?” She put her hand on her hip. “Does this body turn you on, Chris? Because that’s what I wanted to do.” Her lens flickered and she smiled again. “Never mind. I see that I have succeeded.”
Chris blushed deep red.
“Hold on. Let me try something else you might enjoy too.”
