Mindy blinked and looked down at herself; her eyes went wide as she saw what she was wearing.
Her halter top and jeans had somehow morphed into a blue-grey calico dress like her grandma would have worn, only rather worn and frayed. A tattered grey shawl hung over Mindy's shoulders; her feet were now clad in a pair of black size seventeen pancake-toed Doc Martins with dull red laces. On her hands were a pair of black open fingered gloves; the nails were painted with dull black nail polish. Mindy now was suddenly aware of a touch of red at the bottom of her field of vison. Gingerly, she touched her nose; it was a fleshy bulb nearly big enough to fill her hand. Mindy opened her mouth, and it looked like a couple of her teeth were missing; looking closer she saw that now they were black.
Not bothering to look at her reflection in the window, Mindy went inside the station and saw in addition to the usual snacks and sodas, the store section was also selling joy buzzers, whoopie cushions, juggling balls, and other novelty and prank items.
As she walked-or rather waddled, Mindy could tell her feet had grown to fit her new shoes perfectly. So, she wasn't completely surprised when she walked into the bathroom and looked in the mirror.
Mindy's face was now a yellowy orange with patches of white topped by wide black arches high on her forehead that stretched down past her eyes, giving her a surprised look, light grey shaded the eyelids inside the white patches, and her eyelashes were longer, curlier, and thicker. The area around Mindy's mouth was surrounded by a small white muzzle; her lower lip was black. Dull red rouged Mindy's cheeks with three black freckles. Her brown hair was now matted black and hung limply down her shoulders; on top of her head was a floppy blue hat with the front brim pinned back by a petunia. At the very center of Mindy's face her bulbous nose was a dull red and turned slightly upward, almost like she had been drinking heavily.
Mindy did another take, and the new bag lady clown gave her reflection a nod of approval. This boring day just got VERY Interesting.
