As Scarlet and Tanya disappeared, Bella took a moment to take in the teenage girl before her. Sylvia appeared frazzled, the ghost in the girls body conveying a defeated posture. Bella presumed it was the from the two empty cans of beer but, she couldn't be sure. "You alright?"
"Do I look alright," Sylvia grumbled in typical teenage fashion.
"Well actually you look a little drunk."
"Yeah," Sylvia groaned. "Ugh stupid teenage body, stupid teenage hormones. This sucks! And what's worse, this kids tolerance for booze ain't shit!" Sylvia groaned, smacking the empty beer cans to the floor before pouting. She had been a powerful witch in life, she still was in death yet at every turn it seemed she had failed to gain vengeance on the one person who seemed to elude her.
"So what brought this on," Bella asked.
Sylvia bit her lip, part of her wanted to stay quiet, the other more adult side realized talking about it would help. The battle between her teenage emotions and her rationale adult mind was almost unbearable. "Ugh it's stupid but I feel like a complete failure."
"Why?"
"Because I haven't done anything," Sylvia exclaimed. "I mean seriously look how much I've messed up! I possessed the wrong body, I can't stop Kane, hell I couldn't even save your friend! All I've done is fail at ever twist and turn!"
"Is that what you think," Bella smirked. "Well for your information you're dead wrong! Pardon the pun." Sylvia raised an eyebrow, giving the succubus a odd look as she continued.
"I did some checking around," she said. "After you and Tanya came by the strip club. Talked with a bunch of my friends and neighbors. All of them say they were thankful for everything you've done so far."
"Really?"
"Yes really," Bella said happily. "They heard how you warned the Morelands about Kane, how you helped those two vampires gain safe passage home, how you've warned every supernatural entity in the state about that psycho! You even helped bring in an Ace fighter to take on Kane! That sounds alot like winning to me."
"But Kanes still out there hurting people," Sylvia moaned. "He killed your friend, he's hurt so many people."
"He has but he didn't kill me."
Sylvia paused, casting the succubus a puzzled look. Bella sighed, pushing her blonde hair behind her ears as she continued. "I didn't say anything before but I was thinking of checking out Kanes place before you two showed up," she said. "Not to do anything but just to check up on my friends. If you hadn't come by, I don't know what would have happened. I...I could have ended up just like Trixie. Scarlet and I would probably be dead now if it wasn't for you."
Sylvia was dumbstruck, so caught up in the fact that Kane was still out there that she had never taken into account the lives she had saved just by warning others. Before she could even offer a response, Bella leaned over placing a tender yet passionate kiss on the girls cheek. "You've done a great job so far Sylvia thank you."
"Um your welcome," Sylvia stammered, thw ghosts cheeks blushing crimson. "Too bad you're not a little younger," she grinned.
Bella laughed softly, a small smile cracking across her face. "You wouldn't have like me I was kind of a late bloomer. Super awkward and a bit of a nerd in high school, which is saying something for a succubus."
"I would have liked you," Sylvia grinned. As the pair stared at one another tenderly they were interrupted by the howls of passion coming from the closed bedroom. It appeared Scarlet was showing her own appreciation in a rather loud and carnal way. "Dont know if I would have like you THAT much though," Sylvia muttered. The ghost and succubus now exchanging a look between one another before laughing as they got to know one another better.
