Jason slowly regained consciousness. He scent the smell of oil and steam. His head arched and throb. As he opened his eyes and his vision cleared, dizziness overcame him. In panic he realized that he was dangling head downwards from the ceiling. His feet were tied up on two pipes with some white tissue. It had to be some sort of spider silk, he realized. Once again a sharp ache shot through his head. He didn't know if this was coming form the impact of his head with the floor or from all the blood that was shooting in his head.
The trapped boy looked through the dark and stream-filled room. He tried to assess his situation. With a small shock he spotted a black monstrous silhouette in the middle of the room. It was the shop keeper which had turned into a spider hybrid. It looked like she was still investigate her new appearance as she examined her new appendages. Jason shorty thought about making himself noticed but quickly rejected this thought. He didn't know about her personality. Maybe she had also changed into a deadly predator. And he might be her next meal. So he tried to stay as silent as possible. Struggling free was not an option at all. He didn't even know, if he was strong enough. Those thin silk cords bound him surprisingly tight.
Jason decided a short action plan: first try to make her less monstrous, then try to free himself. Focusing, Jason noticed that he still had his mobile phone in his hands, even if some silk was covering it. With some serious effort he managed to push some of the chords apart. Bending a bit forward, he was able see through them, directly on the shining display of his mobile phone. With his thumb he managed to press the button to generate a new sentence.
"This girl is 50% human and 50% tarantula."
This was not a bad situation for the poor boy. Jason weighted his options. He could replace tarantula with something more harmless. He could try to increase the percentage of human or decrease the percentage of tarantula. Unfortunately, he could not change both... What would happen if she was more or less than 100%... Jason didn't know.
Carefully thinking through the possibilities, Jason changed...
