Down the hall Jane was trying her best to relax with a book, but her phone had been buzzing constantly for the last half hour. It was beginning to get to the point where she didn’t think she would even get a single chapter done. By the time it finally quieted down she found herself distracted for an entirely different reason.
Jane could not get her mind off Mary and what a strange encounter she just had. Jane had checked out Mary many times in the past in their brief encounters in the hallway, but she had never had such large ears, hands, and dark fingernails before. She almost seemed a little more simian in nature than she had remembered. It was a ridiculous thought that she was determined to push down.
Almost on cue she heard a knock on her door. Opening it her suspicions were confirmed.
“I can explain everything, but can I come in first before someone sees me?” Mary asks.
Jane stood in the doorway wide eyed. Mary’s nose had shrunk and pushed out into a miniature muzzle, a thick coat of hair had grown on her cheeks giving the impression she had sideburns, and the hair on her head had become shorty and more furlike.
She swiftly grabbed her, pulling her inside, giving a quick glance to the hallway to make sure no one saw them. Shutting the door behind her she turned to Mary.
“Wow you really are a monkey!”. I knew something was off before” Jane started examining her up and down looking at her exposed feet with their new opposable digits. Mary giggled as Jane continued to look over her like a science experiment.
“Yeah, it’s quite a story, and I was skeptical that I would change at first too. Looking over myself now I know it’s true. I really am becoming a monkey!”
“But how is this even possible? How where you able to change yourself into an animal?” Jane asked.
“That’s the thing. It’s some kind of magic, I think! When you notice in the park, I just had to share it with someone…” Mary began before something got her attention.
A pulling sensation from behind started tenting up the back of Mary’s pants, at first the feeling was enjoyable but quickly turned into agony as her newly growing appendage became constrained.
“ohhh god” Mary wailed in pain, her pants bulging behind her as the seams pushed to their limits.
“Are you alright?” a concerned Jane asked.
Mary blushed as a single tear rolled down her cheek. She was expecting a tail at some point, but this was probably the most embarrassing time it could have happened. “Yeah, I’m fine, but I need your help. Do you have a knife or something”? Mary gave a small smile as she felt a spinal column growing behind her, each one constricting her pants more and more. Why did the tail have to come in all at once she thought.
As Mary kneeled over Jane caught a glimpse of her behind and the expanding bulge and in a moment of clarity put two and two together. She rushed to the kitchen and grabbed a large knife from her cutting block “Hold still” she said and crouched behind Mary and with a quick slit released the pressure she had been feeling.
“Oh my god that feels so much better” Mary signed as her new hairy appendage spilled out from the slit.
Jane ran her hands along it as it continued to grow to full length in front of her “holy crap you grew a tail!” it rolled out onto the floor and finished growing. Mary let out a quiet moan as it stretched out to over three feet in length.
Mary looked back at it and marveled at what she just experienced. Her body had just grown an entirely new body part. One that she had complete control over. She looked back and tried testing it out focusing on moving it using nothing but her thoughts. She turned around to face Jane as it continued to wag behind her.
“This is amazing, what does it feel like” Jane asked?
“Very strange to be honest. It feels a little breezy behind me” Mary lowered her tail down until it rested on the floor. As she walked over to the couch, she could feel it dragging. “I knew this was coming eventually but it still feels so surreal” Mary took a seat being careful to avoid sitting on her tail.
“So I was about to tell you about how this happened…”
