As you peered a little more carefully, you came to realize that it wasn't a shape in the clouds or a hallucination brought on by the sun's unbearable heat. There really was a shape peering down at you. You could not make it out against the blare of the current solar torturer beating down upon your poor mistreated skin. It was all just dark against the sun beams but as you managed to glimpse more details, you did wonder if it was not indeed a hallucination brought on by an insolation. Its face was human enough, as well as its torso. But it had four arms. Two human ones and two in the shape of pincers below. As for its body from the waist down, it was a scorpion's! A gigantic scorpion's body with six legs and a deadly looking sting, with a reddish black color. You were very frightened by such an apparition, of course, but you were even more thirsty.
"Please... Help... Water..." you pleaded in a croaking voice.
You closed your eyes, exhausted. But a few seconds later, you feel leather against your lips and and the cool feel of water, wonderful, blessed water cross your parched lips and you gulp until your stomach might burst. You thank profusely your savior, strange as he might look, and you lie down in the shade, your body exhausted. You close your eyes and pass out. So you don't feel the scorpion creature seize you, wrap you in a white cloth and hoist upon its keratin-covered backside. He treks across the desert until he reaches a lush oasis near a larger one with a big city by an enormous series of lakes and rivers. The smaller oasis contains a set of dry caves which are the domains of a sorcerer. The scorpion-taur trades you, still unconscious, to the sorcerer for a bag of coins and leaves to return in his lair in the desert. The sorcerer places you in a cage, waiting for you to wake up and knowing already what he will do to you.
