While Sylvia and Bella now found themselves physically the same age, a new problem now arose. What were two out of place teenagers going to do? Unable to decide, the pair now found themselves falling back on a tried and true teenage pass time, hanging out at the mall.
Pulling into the parking lot, Bella now placed her car in park, the teenage succubus looking unsteady as she gazed at her dashboard. "You okay Bella," Sylvia asked.
"I'm not quite sure," Bella whispered, blushing as she chanced a glance in Sylvia's direction. "Just how powerful was that spell? I haven't been this nervous driving since I was 16!" Sylvia could only shrug, she wasn't quite sure how powerful Nat and Rei were but, considering they had aged down a succubus they had to be pretty powerful. Sylvia hadn't wanted to say anything but she had noticed the changes in Bella.
The teenage succubus was quite shy, which made sense if Bella was being truthful about her awkward teenage years. Sylvia had also noticed how unsure the succubus had been while driving, Bella gripping the steering wheel a bit too tightly as she cautiously proceeded down the road. If the ghost hadn't know any better, she would have presumed Bella had only gotten her license a week ago. "I'm guessing pretty powerful," Sylvia stated. "I mean, it did give you braces again."
"Ugh don't remind me," Bella moaned. The teen now glancing into her rear view window as she examined her mouth full of metal. "This is crazy I feel just as shy and awkward as I did when I was 16 the first time!"
"Magic can be funny like that," Sylvia replied. "And if it helps, I haven't been this nervous on a date since I was a teenager." Bella smiled, the two teens blushing crimson as they tried to avoid eye contact. This was both frustrating and thrilling for the pair. Frustrating because they knew themselves to be adults. They had been on dates before. This wasn't some life altering event. It was two adults enjoying eachothers company with the prospect of something romantic happening. At least that's what their adult minds told them, the reality was much different.
Being teenagers both Sylvia and Bella were now flooded with teenage hormones and with it insecurities. Yes, they liked eachother. Yes, they thought the other was attractive but the teenage doubt in the back of their minds wondered if the other felt the same way. Both teens flushed at the prospect of holding hands or even sharing a first kiss. For the pair it felt like they were going on a date for the first time in their lives. "Are you as nervous as I am," Bella asked.
"Ugh yes," Sylvia groaned. "Its insane but....I feel like I'm on my first date ever!"
"Same," Bella said softly. The succubus now taking a breath. She wasn't going to let this spell keep herself from enjoying Sylvia's company. She wasn't this awkward girl anymore. "Okay Sylvia," she said. "We need an ice breaker. Why don't you tell me about what you did for fun when you were 16?"
"Pretty much this," Sylvia stated. "Hang around the mall, catch a movie, grab some food, oh check out the arcade and the record store!"
"Sounds like fun," Bella smiled. "What was your favorite music?" Sylvia blushed, she was about to age herself with her taste in music. "Ummm Madonna and the Police."
"The Police," Bella asked. "What like the the theme from that show Cops? How's it go...Bad Boys, Bad Boys, Whatcha gonna do?"
"No GOD," Sylvia exclaimed. "Like Sting. You know, every breath you take I'll be watching you." Bella shrugged, she had no idea who that was. Sylvia simply groaned, a frown forming as she now looked at Bella. "I was a teenager in the 80s," she said. "I had a huge crush on Sting, who was your teenage crush?"
"Zac Efron," Bella replied meekly, her cheeks blushing. "And the Jonas Brothers!" Sylvia paused the two teens staring at one another before bursting into laughter. "Wow we sound old," Sylvia laughed.
"Maybe you do," Bella teased, causing Sylvia to playfully push her. The two teens giggle fit slowly subsiding as they gazed at one another. "So," Bella said slowly. Sylvia was about to answer before the succubus leaned in, giving the teen a gentle kiss.
Sylvia giggled, the teen blushing as she tried to compose herself. Maybe the spell that aged Bella down into a teen was affecting her too. "Okay maybe we're a bit behind the times," she said. "But that doesn't mean we can't still have some fun. Want to go try on some crazy outfits? Maybe eat a bunch of junk food and catch a movie?"
"Sounds like fun," Bella smiled. "And very teenage."
"Well neither one of us is going to be able to get in the bar," Sylvia stated. "Figure the next best thing is just run around and embrace being kids."
"Sounds like fun," Bella said. The succubus now leaping out if her car as she sprinted towards the mall. "Race you inside!"
"Hey come back here," Sylvia laughed, the teens giggling as they sprinted towards the mall. As the pair ran with re kless abandon, they couldn't help but feel a wave of relief wash over them. This may not be the most romantic date ever but certainly was going to be alot of fun.
