"Well, look at you," Claire greeted Jennifer as she opened the front door. Standing on her doorstep was her friend, though she looked like she was wearing a poorly-done Cousin It costume.
Her golden locks had grown in amazingly. In the dim porch light they gleamed and shone brightly in comparison to her old shineless jet black wool. The sheer amount of it told exactly how much time Jennifer had taken to get there; All of the wool growing from her body was golden for nineteen inches before turning black for the remaining two feet. This meant, all together, the strands coming out of the top of her head were so long they reached her knees, and the strands coming out of her knees were just about all over the porch itself. Jennifer's face, with black sheep skin that now stood out from her bright wool, was set in a look of tired annoyance.
"Well, don't just stand there," the spider girl invited. "Come on in!"
"You said you'd stop my wool when I got here," Jennifer said. "So do it."
"I was thinking we could order out. My parents won't be home until late."
"Claire--"
"You wanna see my room? It's outrageous."
"Okay, fine. TRANSFORM OR DARE?"
Claire fell silent upon hearing Jennifer's outrage. "Or we could take care of your wool first," she admitted. "I'm guessing that's why you're going to dare me?"
"I dare you to get my wool to stop growing," Jennifer said insistently.
"Transform or Dare?"
"Transform."
"Your wool will stop growing. Happy?"
"You were supposed to make it so that it could be cut off!"
"Oh, was I?" Claire winked with five left eyes.
"Damn it, Claire!" Jennifer took a step to walk right up to Claire's freakish face, but tripped over several clumps of wool and fell to the floor in a cushioned floof. Claire burst out laughing as the sheep-girl struggled to find decent footing among her yards of tangled tresses.
"Oh, this is great," she wheezed. "I have to find my camera."
Jennifer kicked and fought to find solid floor to plant her two-toed feet on. "Damn it! Transform or Dare!"
"I'm not playing along this time. Transform."
"Okay, then!" Jennifer shouted, still writhing on the floor. She paused for a moment to think of something to do. "You're human again. Completely. Everything will change back as if you've always been human, and nobody but us two will remember that you were ever a spider-girl."
Claire's smile quickly disappeared as she realized what a big mistake she had just made. As she watched, all of her extra spider parts shrank into her body. Her skin returned to its light tan, her extra eyes closed and sealed themselves back into her forehead. Her hair turned blond once more. Even her clothes restored themselves. Jeans and slippers appeared on her legs and feet, and the holes in her top mended seamlessly.
"But...but that means..." Claire stammered. She ran to the basement door and looked down. The only cobweb that could be found was a very small one in the corner of the doorway. She ran to the mailbox, where Mr. Cottington promised he'd leave her paycheck. Nothing there. "It's all gone! My powers! My money!" She fell to her knees on the floor just a few feet from Jennifer, who had come to a sitting position. Her wool spread around her on the floor in all directions, making a seven-foot-wide circle of gold-to-black.
"I tried to help you out," Jennifer said. But you kept making this worse. "We can still help each other, but you've got to cooperate. Besides, I thought you were afraid of spiders?"
