Charlene quietly opened the door to Rachel's room and looked around. Rachel had always had more of a spartan sense of aesthetic with only a few gaming posters and books around along with a laptop plugged into the wall on the bed. Charlene smiled a little as she took a seat on the bed, thinking about everything that had happened since they had moved to Moon Lake. As hard as it had been to up and move across the country, she was glad that things seemed to be easier for her now.
She glanced over and saw the book that Rachel had been reading. A guidebook for weres? Well, at least she was trying to learn more about herself. Charlene curiously picked it up, and flipped through the pages, it was amazing how many different types of weres there were. She stopped on the pages on werecats.
She absentmindedly read the pages over as she thought about what had happened to Rachel. She had been so happy when Rachel had started dating Leslie, her daughter had always been more of an introvert, and the fact that she had at least trusted her and her sisters with that meant a lot to her. What Leslie had done had felt not only like an attack on Rachel, but also on the whole family. Rachel had been so close to coming out of her shell when this had happened, and now Charlene had no idea what to do.
Charlene read over the book again and thought for a long moment. She thought back to what she had thought about the other day, would it help if she became a Werecat too? It had been on her mind ever since then. Maybe the time had come to make a decision.
