Not wishing to play roulette to see which of Johnny's old friends would come to replace Reece if Ryan made Reece Johnny's age once again, Ryan decided to get a little smart with his wish.
"I wish there were two Reece's, brothers to each other. One who would be as he is right now--our babysitter--and the other Johnny's age," said Ryan as he held the dragon coin in his hand and stared at Reece. It took a second, but shortly Reece stopped stirring the mac n' cheese he'd been making and with his now free hands, grabbed the side of the kitchen counter and groaned in pain for a moment, until suddenly Ryan noticed what seemed to be Reece splitting in half, with the back half of his body pulling out and away from the front half, until with a snap, Reece split in half and each half regrew the other until there stood there two Reeces, dressed and looking exactly the same.
"Bro!" complimented the one by the counter to the one just behind him before turning around and embracing the other Reece as though they were indeed twin brothers. The back half twin's hair grew a little longer, enough to tell the difference between the two of them, and enough for his long red hair to appear in a pony tail.
"Roderick!" exclaimed the Reece closest to the counter, hugging his now twin pony tailed brother Roderick it seemed.
"How's my little bro doing in his classes?" asked Roderick, and Ryan noticed at the mention of little, Reece seemed to youthen a little, his facial hair growing thinner and whispy, his musculature growing a bit thinner, and shortly Reece no longer looked like he was in college at all, but High School.
"Fine, fine, I tried out for the track team!" exclaimed Reece excitedly as his physique shifted more to that of a runner's build and he looked less like a senior in high school--even shrinking a few inches in height.
"You'll make it one day, just like I did," assured Roderick as he patted Reece on the shoulder, only with each pat to send Reece down in height, as though Roderick were slapping puberty out of Reece. Lean runner's build gave way to a lanky early teenager whose face was free from any sign of facial hair and instead covered with acne, which he tried to hide under his shaggy hair.
"I j--just ho-O-ope it isn't to-O-o long a wait," whined Reece as he shifted his weight from foot to foot nervously as the next batch of shrinking spurts returned him through the opening forays of puberty and back to prepubescence. Reece now definintely had to look up to Roderick, who'd acquired a few eyebrow piercings and whose shirt had shifted to a punk band name's.
"You'll get as big as me one day, little bro, until then, why don't you just focus on your friends more your own age," said Roderick with a warm smile as he scooched the shrinking Reece aside from the counter, so that Roderick could continue making dinner for them all.
"But Roddy, I wanna help!" protested Reece as he left the double digits of life and shrank and began to reacquire a bit of baby fat. When Reece settled at Johnny's age of 8, Reece's former college attire shifted to that of its elementary school equivalent, with him wearing jean shorts, a t-shirt, and sneakers.
"Reece! I got the game started, come back up and I'll beat your butt!" yelled Johnny from the top of the steps. The siren's song of video games at first seemed to stop Reece in his tracks, if not confuse him slightly for a moment, before something seemed to click in his head.
"Not if I beat yours first!" called back Reece, bounding up the stairs in a few minutes thereafter.
