The Customer it turned out was a young woman, of her early 20s as far as Mr Helsing was guessing, and of a mixed background at that. Mostly Chinese-Asian but aspects of local Caucasian such as her red hair tied in a ponytail mixed in with her 5.9 Height. Plus by her dress she must’ve grown up locally but modestly with her wearing a green hooded light material sleeveless top with black long-shorts and white trainers.
“Excuse me? Are you employed by Van Helsing, owner of this newly opened shop?” the customer asked. “Well actually no. I am Van Helsing as it happens” Mr Helsing kindly assured. “Oh thank goodness that makes this slightly quicker” the customer thanked before introducing herself “Shui Turner. And I’m here for something”. “Chinese mother, American Father I wager?” Mr Helsing guessed. “So to speak” Shui answered while getting this check out of this bag she had been carrying and handing it to Mr Helsing...
...and had Mr Helsing had still been eating he’d had done a spit-take at seeing $200000.00 on the check “This is for something my research for that you obtained some years ago” Shui assured. But Mr Helsing couldn’t think for the life of everything what this was right away and as far as he was aware while a few items edged close by the valuations he had during the insurance setup for the shop meant nothing left the thousands threshold and by both his moral fibers and the local laws he wasn’t going to trick anyone out of money even if his plans involved getting everything sold.
“I don’t mean to offend you my dear but I can’t exactly take this much and surely I cannot precisely be the holder of exactly what you’re looking for” Mr Helsing apologised. “I figured that might be a possibility until I saw the item in question among your displays as I entered and knew it right away” Shui countered “Check I confess was prepared in advance as but a starter though I must confess I expected you to haggle for more”. This got Mr Helsing worried he might have during his travels partaken in the theft or trafficking of a family heirloom “Well... if you could point out the item in question and if I’m guessing proof of ownership descent then maybe we can better work on the payment”. “I beg your pardon?” Shui questioned. “I merely suggested that maybe the item in question was stolen from a relative” Mr Helsing assured. “If that was the case I wouldn’t hold you responsible” Shui returned kindly.
Of course little did Van Helsing know this item had powers and Shui knew it for her own goals:
