The loud sounds of the music echoed through the house, the walls seeming to vibrate with the hum of the music. The place was absolutely packed; it seemed like half of the senior class had shown up to the party tonight. Even down here, in the dimly lit basement, groups of partygoers could be seen drinking from red solo cups and talking happily.
A boy wearing a letterman jacket leaned against the wall. He smiled down at the pretty, blonde girl standing next to him, who stared up at the much taller football player with what seemed like complete adoration in her eyes. The beer in her cup sloshed as she broke into yet another giggling fit as something he said. She was wearing a black tube top and short denim skirt, which she filled out quite well.
Of course, the truth was that Lily couldn’t help herself. The spell “Mom ”—her former wife, Brianna— had cast had made her a complete boy crazy ditz. The harder she’d tried to fight it the more completely she’d fallen into the persona of a pretty blonde beach bunny. Lily couldn’t even remember what her boy name had been.
This guy—Jake, Lily thought he’d introduced himself as—had come over almost as soon as they’d come in the door. He’d handed her a drink and some one liner, and the curse had practically made her swoon. They’d been talking all night, and she’d totally been happy to give him her number. He was just such a stud.
Lily shuddered and shook her head. It was all too easy to slip so far into this persona that she didn’t even notice. Had to remember she was a man. A grown man. Not pretty little Lily. Glancing up again at Jake, Lily realized with a start that he was staring at her, clearly waiting for a response….and she had no idea what he’d even said.
“Like, sorry! Can you said that again?” Lily giggled, hating how flirty she was being. This new body had so much less alcohol tolerance it was crazy. Jake opened his mouth to reply again, only to be suddenly cut off.
“Hey, Lily!”
Lily glanced over and saw her BFF Sofia come rushing over. The pretty Latina’s face was filled concern. “Where have you been, girl? We’ve been looking for you for twenty minutes.” She said. Lily wondered if Sofia had any memory of having been her very male best friend back when she was a boy. With the passionate way she’d been making out with her boyfriend earlier Lily doubted it.
“I was just, like, talking to Jake.” Lily said with another giggle. Jake, for his part, smiled and stuck out his hand. The two shook and introduced themselves, and Sofia turned back to Lily.
