"Alright Rachel, it looks like you already know Cynthia," Angela said with a chuckle as she watched the younger Werecat talking with Cynthia. She smiled a bit, happy that Rachel at least had one friend, with everything she had been through she deserved that much. "It's nice to see you have a friend."
"Yeah, a friend," Rachel said, giving Cynthia a slight smile that she hoped didn't give anything away. She really did just want to make sure that she didn't give away anything yet at least.
Cynthia chuckles a bit at that, and Rachel swore she got a bit of a scent from her that she couldn't put her finger on. She shook her head and looked back at Angela.
"This is Laura and Erica," Angela said, nodding to the older couple that had come in with Cynthia. "And their daughters Kimberly and Sharon."
"It's nice to meet you all," Rachel said with a smile.
"You must be the new Werecat in town," Kimberly commented, taking some of her food and looking over at Rachel. "I'm in a math class with one of your sisters so a few people have been talking about what happened."
"Oh... yeah..." Rachel said. She wasn't that surprised, it was just weird to think about students talking about her like gossip around school.
"It's terrible when that kind of thing happens," Erica said with a frown. "No one should be forced to become a Were."
"What about you, Mamma?" Sharon asked. "You didn't exactly have a choice."
Erica chuckled a bit as she reached over and took her wife's hand. "That was different."
"What happened?" Rachel asked curiously.
"I, uh, kind of accidentally turned her," Laura said sheepishly, getting a look from Rachel. "It was an accident! We were roommates and were playing around! I, didn't actually mean to scratch her, was a bit embarrassing really."
"Honey, don't worry about it, I forgave you a long time ago," Erica said as she leaned in and gave her a soft kiss on the lips. "I love you so much."
"I love you too," Laura said as the two of them shared a long kiss.
Rachel shifted a bit uncomfortably for a moment. Though, it was kind of nice that not everyone who had been less than willingly transformed had been in the same kind of situation as her. She smiled a little as she took a drink, watching the couple as she looked over at Cynthia who gave her a nod. Things were at least not so bad now, maybe things were going to be a bit better for her now that she was far away from Leslie.
She just hoped that she could find some sort of peace.
