Mike woke up groggily to the sensation of his bladder screaming. He really needed to pee. Well, that was what he was wearing a diaper for, right? After all, he was so cozy in bed, he didn’t want to get out and toddle his way to the restroom. And there was no guarantee he’d even make it in time. Not with how badly he needed to go and his reduced control.
Happy to have justified his actions, Mike let his bladder loose on purpose, flooding his diaper with pee. He sighed in relief. Lulled by the warmth in his diaper, Mike fell asleep again.
Mike woke up twice more needing to pee. The second time, it was still dark out. The third time, it was the morning. Reluctantly, Mike sat up, stretching. His diaper was cold and clammy, thoroughly soaked by the two accidents he’d had during the night. Though they couldn’t really be called accidents, since each time he had decided to use his diaper instead of try to make it to the potty in time.
Mike silently noted to himself that he had referred to the toilet as a potty. He really was slipping into this toddler lifestyle. But he didn’t really mind it that much, to his surprise. Mike got out of bed. He debated trying to go to the potty, but decided not to bother. His diaper was wet already, after all. Mike bent into a squat and easily wet himself.
The door to his bedroom opened, revealing Jim.
“Hey there, squirt, Uncle Jimbo is here to help you get ready for the day,” Jim said jovially. “Did you have any accidents during the night?”
“Yeah,” Mike said around his pacifier.
“Then first things first, let’s get you in a fresh diaper.” Jim picked up Mike and brought him into the bathroom. When he opened Mike’s diaper and saw the sorry state it was in, he chuckled. “Wow, you really put this thing through its paces, huh?”
“Yep,” Mike said cheerfully. Jim tickled his belly, making him giggle and squirm.
“I’m just glad you’re not so embarrassed about it anymore,” Jim said. He threw away the old diaper, wiped Mike down, and then carefully taped a fresh diaper on. “Teeth time!” Jim handed Mike a toddler toothbrush with a small amount of toothpaste on it. “Dental hygiene waits for no man. Or toddler. So brush those pearly whites.” Mike did as he was told under the watchful eye of Jim.
Once Mike’s teeth were brushed, Jim brought him back to his room, where he was instructed to choose some clothes for the day. After some internal debate, Mike selected a T-shirt with a dinosaur on it. Jim asked if he wanted any bottoms to cover his diaper, but Mike shook his head. Bottoms would just get in the way for his next diaper change.
Dressed, Jim brought Mike into the kitchen and fed him some dry cereal while he sat on Jim’s lap. Jim explained that this was the safest option for Mike, since they didn’t have a high chair for him. Mike didn’t mind. He felt safe and comfortable being held by Jim. After Mike finished his cereal, Jim sat him on the floor and gave him a baby bottle of milk.
“Where’s Stacy?” Mike asked in between suckles of the milk.
“At work. After yesterday, we decided that I’d take a few personal days off work to take care of you and try to get you back to normal.”
“I see,” Mike said. He finished the bottle and burped. “Thanks.”
“It’s no problem. Honestly, I wanted a mini-vacation anyways,” Jim said breezily. He grinned at Mike. “I bet you’re wondering what’s on the schedule for your first full day with Uncle Jimbo, huh?”
