Jen hurried up and got ready for school. She rushed down the stairs just in time to see the bus driving away.
"Shit," she said to herself. She would have to ride her bike to school.
Jen went into the garage and grabbed her trusty bicycle. She hopped on and began peddling as fast as she could so as not to be late for her first class of the day.
As she peddled, her phone rang. She stopped and put down her kickstand, answering her phone. "Hello?"
"Hello, we're calling about your extended auto warranty -"
Jen hung up on the obvious spam call. She went to kick her kickstand back up only to discover that she no longer had legs. She screamed in horror. Her waist was seamlessly fused to the seat of her bicycle an inch or two below her belly button, leaving her half girl, half bike. It seemed that there was enough room on the seat in front of her waist for someone to sit on. Jen frantically pushed on her seat to free herself, to no avail. Her bike was now the lower half of her body. Experimenting despite her terror, Jen discovered that she could feel every inch of her bike as though it were her own body, which it now was. She could feel the frame, the wheels, the handlebars, everything, just as she could feel her own skin. Despite this though, she was powerless to actually move the bike on her own. She was stranded there, propped up on her kickstand. She began to cry, and made a vow to get back at the brat who did this to her. But first, she needed to get to school. She was only a few absences away from her suspension, and she had just been put in a gym class with Nathan, her crush, the captain of the triathlon team. Jen thought about how to get to school.
