Jeff opens his mouth to reply, suddenly his room disappears and he finds himself standing in the middle of a huge field. As he looks around, he notices that he has been teleported to the rich part of town, where all the wealthy folks live. Two huge mansions stand on each side of him, when he looks towards the road, he sees Ken standing there, grinning. Jeff tries to walk over, but for some reason he can't move, it is as if he is glued to the ground, Jeff starts to panic, he looks back at Ken, “Ken... wh-why can't I move,” he asks.
Ken's grin widens, “well, let's see if you can guess it,” he says, still grinning, “do you remember the conversation we had at school a few days ago?”
Jeff tries to remember, “um... w-was it something to do with your parents kicking you out the house?”
Ken nods, “yes, that's the one,” he says, “remember when I told you that my parents think it would be a great lesson if I would live by myself? How they think that would make me become more responsible?”
Jeff nods, “yeah... but... what has that got to do with...,” he starts, suddenly with a “crack” sound his clothes vanish and Jeff finds himself butt naked, standing on the field. “WHAT THE F...,” he shouts, trying to cover himself, but finds he can not move his hands. Jeff looks at Ken in horror as he realizes what his friend is planning, the teen shakes his head, “no... nononononono... NO,” he says, “you are NOT going to transform me into a effing HOUSE!”
Ken just grins, “THAT is EXACTLY what is going to happen,” he says.
“WHY,” Jeff shouts, feeling anger grow in him, he feels so betrayed by his friend, “I DON'T WANT TO BE A HOUSE!”
Ken grins, “you said I could transform you into anything,” he says, “so, since apartments and houses are so expensive, I figured why not transform my best friend into my dream house?”
“Because I have a family and they'll miss me,” Jeff says.
Ken grins, “who cares what your family, other friends, or anyone will think,” he says, “I bet they'll assume you've simply run away. It is not uncommon for teenagers in your age to decide to run away from home!”
Jeff can't believe what he is hearing, “I thought we were friends,” he says, “I can't believe you are such an asshole!”
Ken chuckles and shrugs, “I don't care what you think, Jeff,” he says, “all I know is, I am going to get my dream house, and the best part: I don't have to pay a penny for IT!”
Jeff is dumbfounded, how could he have been so stupid to allow this to happen? “Ken,” he says, “please.... c-can't you think of something else? I don't want to be your house!”
Ken continues to grin, “sorry Jeff,” he says, “I can't stop the transformation. Besides, it is just for a week! So, just chill and enjoy it. This will be a great experiment, at least for me, to see if I can cope living alone. If I should manage a week to care for myself, then I know I'm ready to take the next step in life. Oh, one more thing: the Chronivac is connected to you, but you won't be able to access it!”
“Why,” Jeff asks.
“Because, I don't want to risk that my “house” trying to do something “stupid”. I transferred the Chronivac from your laptop to my phone, your brain, which will become the mother computer of the “house”, is simply the link to my phone. The link itself has no purpose, it does not even have your file stored, it's only purpose is to just be there and make sure that I WILL continue to have total control”.
“But, what if someone tries to hack the “computer”,” Jeff asks.
Ken grins, “nothing to worry about,” he says, “I secured it that not even the best hacker in the universe will be able to get at it, without decoding at least 100 different types of security programs”.
Jeff finally gives up, he lets out a sigh, “I guess I can't change this,” he says, “I really had it coming... oh well... it is only for a week. And I must admit, it would be a good training for you”.
Ken grins, “glad that you finally see it my way,” he says, “now, let's see you become my house for a week”.
