the gurgle in his gut soon became a tingle in his body.
the tingle spread from his head, to the tips of his fingers, to the ends of his toes.
and then, gradually, little by little, he started to grow. the growths were small and unnoticeable.
As he worked in the fields and the farm all afternoon, he slowly grew, little by little.
Jeremiah didn't notice his growth... yet. his mind was still full of thoughts of the Fountain of size.
yet, he did somehow or other keep noticing that things in his farmyard seemed to be shrinking.
but he didn't know that he was actually growing.
and all through the afternoon, he grew... and grew... and grew... and grew...

By the end of the afternoon, Jeremiah began to realize something seemed very odd: His clothes looked almost smaller than normal.
[Of course, Jeremiah had failed to take into account that the fountain's water had no effect on clothing.]
Immediately, another button popped off his dark green button-down shirt.
"I need a word with the dry cleaners about my clothes." he said.
His black jeans seemed to be tighter on his legs - he found they felt as stiff as cardboard when he walked.
Even his cap seemed to be too small for his head.
(I)'What gives?'(/I) he muttered, scratching the back of his neck.
his shirt and coat felt tighter still on him.
(I)I don't understand. What—(/I)
But Jeremiah never got to finish that statement, as he felt his feet hurting.
