"Sure, I would love to come in," Cynthia said, and Charlene smiled as she saw Rachel's eyes light up a bit. "If, that's okay with you at least, Rachel."
"Yeah, that's fine," Rachel said, a little embarrassed, but she put on a smile. She looked at Cynthia and gave her a nod. "Shall we?"
"Sounds nice to me," Cynthia replied with a nod as the three women headed inside. Charlene took a seat in one of the chairs as Rachel and Cynthia took a seat. "You have a nice home."
"Thank you," Charlene said as she leaned back. "So how did the pride meeting go?"
"It went well," Rachel said, flicking her tail a bit. "I learned a lot about werecats and what's happened to me. It really makes me feel better about the whole thing I guess. It's, still something I'm not sure if I'm completely comfortable with, or even ready to join a Pride, but I also feel a bit better about it."
'That's good," Charlene said with a soft smile. She sat back and listened to Rachel and Cynthia talk about the meeting, she couldn't help but smile a bit, happy to hear that her daughter had found some happiness there. She had a slight smile when she saw the way Rachel was sneaking looks at the redhead. She could tell that Rachel had a little bit of a thing for Cynthia, but she wasn't going to pry, not yet at least. "It sounds like you had a good time."
"Yeah, it was fun," Rachel said as she shrugged a bit. "Everyone was really nice."
"What did you think, Cynthia?" Charlene asked.
"Well, I've known the pride in question for most of my life," Cynthia told her. "They're wonderful people who are just looking to help her. Honestly after everything that your daughter has been through we don't blame her for not being sure about this whole thing."
"Yeah..." Rachel said, placing her hand gently on Cynthia's. "After my life changed that much... it's just nice to know that I have people to back me up."
Charlene smiles and leans back, thinking back to what she had been considering for a while. While she was sure that maybe it wouldn't be necessary, maybe she should see what Rachel thought first.
