Kate doubted Tiberius could change her back, nor get her home, but he definitely has proven himself an ally. Still, with that in mind, he helped her because she was a unicorn, a rare thing here nowadays apparently. If she told him she wasn't really a unicorn (well, she was, but...not the point!), would he still help her?
Might be best to just play along for now...
"I'm...sorry. Yeah, I guess I really have missed a lot. My name is...uh...Krystal," Kate, or rather Krystal, replied.
"Pleasure to meet you, Krystal. Worry not, I shall keep you safe. I know some others who may be willing to help keep you safe," Tiberius replied.
Krystal perked up. "Oh? Do any of them know magic?"
Tiberius tilted his head. "Well, yes, but wouldn't you as well?"
Shoot. "I...err....yes, but I'm very rusty. Haven't practiced in ages! I could use a teacher to help me," Krystal quickly corrected.
"Oh, I see. Well, Maria and Martha might be able to help. They're witches, so they know a bit about magic."
"Perfect. Let's head there right now!" Krystal exclaimed, only to have the pegasus put a hoof over her mouth, much to her dissatisfaction.
"Easy now. The others are still out looking for us. Best we stay here for the night and head out early in the morning," Tiberius explained before moving his hoof.
Krystal involuntarily blushed. Staying the night. Alone. In a cave. With this stallion. She wasn't into guys, and definitely not into stallions. But, she was concerned a part of this new body was interested.
She shook her head. "Do we have to? Can't we go now?"
"No can do, Krystal. Sorry. It's not all bad though. Here," he offered his saddlebags. "You can use these as a pillow if you want."
She stared at them, unsure what to do with them.
"You...ah...you can use your horn to levitate things, can't you?" Tiberius asked, concerned.
"Oh. Um, no. I told you I was rusty," she replied.
"It's levitation a very basic spell?"
"Veeeeery rusty," she quickly answered.
"...right. Well I'll just set it down for you to lay on. Get some rest, Krystal. I'll keep watch," Tiberius said before trotting near the frontt of the cavern.
She trotted over to it and clumsily laid down, resting her head against it. It smelled of Tiberius. How she knew what he smelled like already? She didn't know. She wasn't trying to smell him, but her senses were very heightened as a unicorn apparently. The scent was musky and sweaty, but not unpleasant. It made her feel safe.
She let go of today's worries and drifted off to sleep.
