Deidre nodded, "Well then we should do our best to get you situated until then. I'll probably have to say the Gohrion has gone somewhere I don't know. First, let's get you dressed. I can't have a little naked half-orc child in my bedroom." she chuckled offering out her hand.
Goh took her hand, surprised how much smaller and softer it was by comparison to his old one, how dainty. Deidre lead him over to a nearby chest and rummaged around in it. "I think I have something....ahah!"
She pulled out a simple linen tunic and trousers and rope belt. "here, put these on."
The new child did, and staring at the mirror was shocked how much more it made him look like a child. Deidre then rested a small wooden necklace around his neck with a symbol of Khalios.
"You need to make a vow to Khalios," Deidre said seriously. "Im willing to become your mother, but so long as you live here, you will live according to Her ways, understood?"
Goh was surprised how authoritative her tone suddenly became, but he nodded and began to recite the pledge. As he did, Deidre fashioned his hair into a ponytail with a blue ribbon.
She lead him in the vow which promised to protect and admire those who were young or with child, and to always give all respect to the goddess. Goh felt an antsy anticipation as they recited the ritual. He wanted to get out, explore and see the world in his new state. Finally they stopped and he looked up at Deidre.
"Can....can I go play now then .... Mom?"
She hesitated hearing him say that but nodded. "Very well, Goh. But be back by supper. Remember your vows while with the other children."
Goh grinned and scampered off, eager to enjoy his second chance in life...
