Sarah adjusted her top as she looked in the mirror of the master bathroom of the family cabin she was currently sharing with her kids and his parents. In truth the bedroom outside was her parents while she had the other bedroom and the kids had the third bedroom which had bunk beds but she wanted to get ready and the other bedroom didn’t have a private bathroom. Her brother and sister-in-law where likely about done getting ready themselves in their own cabin, which was a lot smaller, but both had doors leading into the others making the whole space much larger.
She adjusted her top again, a simple red top with a V cut which went far lower then she would even dare to consider wearing but she was going to be a 32 year old single women tonight, not a 32 year old widow and mother to four. The top was a little tight, but she hadn’t worn it in so long and the tightness actually worked in her favor for the moment. One thing she did have over his sister-in-law was a well-developed chest. She placed a necklace on and backed away looking at herself in the mirror, she did look good. Red short sleeve top with a deep V, a white skirt which stopped just above her knees. Her legs where clean shaven and silky smooth thanks to a couple of hours at the spa in the afternoon.
“That spa had done some magic.” Stated Sarah out load as she made note that her stretch marks from carrying four kids in the span of six years, seamed all but gone.
She cocked her head, her shoulder length brown hair moving to the side to show a pair of earrings.
“Well time to go.” Said Sarah as she went out into the bedroom and put on some high heels before going out into the living area. Her kids and her parents were watching the sunset on the balcony.
“Alright, you four behave for grandma and grandpa.” Ordered Sarah to her kids.
“We will.” Confirmed the oldest boy.
“You look very pretty mommy.” Added the oldest girl.
“Thank you.” Said Sarah “I will be out late, so if you need anything go to grandma and grandpa’s room not mine.”
“Ok.” Said the second boy.
“Wait…did you get some paint in your hair?” inquired Sarah as she noticed some green spots on her second’s boys hair.
“Must have gotten it when he was going arts and craft in the kids play room.” Offered her father who was sitting there with a beer in his hand. For a moment Sarah wondered if her father’s beard looked like it had more silver in it, like he had colored it not natural silver.
“I didn’t go near the finger paints.” Protested her second son
“You will just have to swim it off tomorrow.” Offered her mother, the spa had seamed to do wonders for her as well. Her face looked less wrinkled, but Sarah wasn’t going to say anything about that.
“Alright, kisses goodnight.” Ordered Sarah as she kissed all her kids, noting more paint this one pink had gotten into the hair of her youngest girl. Before she walked out the door to find her sister-in-law dressed in a black cocktail dress which somehow didn’t seam as dark as her black hair and her brother who was dressed in a dark blue polo shirt and slacks waiting for her.
“Shall we go?” inquired Kim
The bar was full of people and a large number of them where of her age as Sarah stood at a small table with her brother and sister-in-law. They had been there for a few hours and Sarah was just beginning to think she could relax.
“That spa this afternoon was amazing, I need to go back and asked what product they used on my hair it is so much fuller and silker then normal.” Stated Kim as her black locks framed her face like a 1920’s movie star.
“I need to find out what they did to my skin, stretch marks are a thing of the past.” Stated Sarah
“Well ladies you need a refill?” inquired her brother, his face seamed smoother as well and he must have gotten a trim of that beard of his and did he look more handsome, must be the lighting.
“Sure…you know what we want.” Said Kim as her arm lingered on her husbands for a moment as he went forth to the bar to go get some drinks.
“This can’t get any better can it?” stated Sarah, unaware that all the changes that they put forth as from the spa or from kids messing in paint was the small changes starting in the mermaid virus.
The time for small changes is over, something is about to happen.
