Hours later, Elliot was awoken again, but by the sound of an almighty thunderclap, he rolled over. What he saw, stopped his heart. A black cloud was encasing the land in darkness, bright flashes of purple lightning happening, the bolts striking the ground every few seconds, nearly three at once. He stumbled up and ran from it, ran, dodging, diving and leaping over rocks of all sizes, desperate to get away from the monster chasing him. No matter how fast he ran, it just kept on closing, drawing, closer, closer and closer, like some animal bearing down on its prey. But soon he spotted a cave ahead, light emitting from it. He altered his course and headed for that, at one point, he thought he was going to make it. He was mistaken, for as he was meters from the cave, a lightning bolt struck him down and his insides started wriggling as if they wanted to get out, it was all too much for him as he passed out from the pain. His friends watched in horror as their friend was struck down, they had to go through the pain of watching.
