Nick watched as the wizard shut the door and left the pantry, leaving him alone with the costume’s helmet on his hands.
He took some deep breathes and reassessed the situation he was in.
1. Magic exist and apparently something’s messing up so bad that the wizard from the costume store had to go to the frat house personally to fix it.
2. People were turning into their costumes but that was apparently a normal part of the costumes from said store.
Nick looked at the costume’s helmet, feeling a lot less freaked out now that he knew it was just part of the gimmick than something worse.
3. There seemed to be a horny satyr version of a zombie apocalypse. Hence the wizard coming.
4. People turned into satyrs think they’ve always been satyrs and things are changing around to fit the changes.
Nick wondered if the reason why he could still recall everyone else being human before was due to the spell on his costume making him immune or something.
He looked at the pantry door then the helmet on his hands and the loose haunted armor costume around him. If he turned into another satyr and tossed the costume out for some satyr orgy, he’s gonna have to pay the wizard more than a hundred bucks for damages. Hopefully it’s just more cash and not being turned into something else or something.
Yeah, Nick wasn’t gonna risk that.
“Don’t anger a wizard, ‘cause they’re subtle and can cast fireball.” He recalled Zach saying that while he was showing off a tabletop mini figure he painted. Nick wondered if Zach was still human or turned into another satyr given TFU was turning into a satyr frat or who knows what else given the centaur and orc he saw earlier.
“Well, if it makes me immune to the satyr infection thing, may as well put the armor back on. I paid for this rental costume and I want to enjoy it.” Nick said to himself as he went to tighten the straps of the chest plate, put the helmet back on, and flip the visor shut.
“Okay…. hope…. there’s no… crowds outside…” he said as he slowly opened the pantry door and found no one around. He gave a slightly echoing sigh of relief as he wondered where to go next.
His room? Though it might have changed and Dave might be there, still a satyr and likely drunk. He doesn’t want to learn what happens if someone decided to put him on.
Outside at the frat house grounds? Less people around to make him freeze and he could run to Second Skin during the night for an early return of the costume.
The roof? It would be empty, except for the gargoyle statues. Hopefully they’re still statues and not turn alive or something.
Someone else’s room? Zach might be interested in having an actual animated armor and he could convince him to help him.
The sound of bleating was heard.
“Evening pantry raid bros!” he heard someone bleat out. “Let’s use the lettuce this time!”
Nick decided to just run out of the pantry before the satyr herd spotted him.
