"Are these magical?" asked Brooke gazing at the range of wigs on the shelves
"Some" replied the sales assistant. "The only problem is we had a work experience student in here only this morning setting up this display and she got the wigs and boxes all mixed up. Now we don't know which of the wigs are magical and which are just realistic. However given that was the stores mistake I'll sell you any wig you like at the realistic wig price"
"And how much is that?"
"$20 or two for $30"
"In that case we'll take two" said Brooke without hesitation. "Any preferences?" she was looking at you.
"I've always admired redheads" you replied. You hoped that blonde Brooke wasn't offended.
"Okay we'll take this one" said Brooke pointing to a long wavy deep red wig. "And I'll choose this one" she pointed at a similarly curly but jet black wig.
You had expected Brooke to select a wig with a masculine haircut but guessed she wasn't worried about having long hair. Thirty dollars for two very realistic looking wigs seemed terribly cheap.
"$30 dollars in that case" said the shop assistant. She removed the two wigs from the mannequin heads and went to the counter. "Do you want them packed or would you like to wear them out of the shop?" she looked at you.
"We'll wear them" replied Brooke. "Don't want to be recognised" as she handed the woman some cash. "Do they need any special care?"
"No we only stock human hair. Just treat them as you would treat your own" said the woman as she accepted the cash from Brooke.
Several minutes later anyone watching would have seen a curvy redhead and a man with long black hair leaving the store, hurrying down the street towards their car.
