It took some convincing, but Rose was able to convince you to part with the flashlight, if only so she could look over the strange device herself. Something about it made you nervous, you'd used the flashlight to change so much about reality the idea of it being turned on you made you a bit too nervous, not one to tempt karma you told her to keep the light itself off, planning to snatch it back if she did anything with it. Then you were hit with a bright burst of light straight in your eyes as she quickly muttered something into it before you could react-
You were dazed for a moment but when you came back to your senses you were annoyed, you'd given Rose the flashlight to use on your after she'd convinced you it'd be fun to be changed just a little bit yourself but she hadn't done anything yet, instead she'd just flashed the light in your eyes without doing anything.
"Very funny." You remark dryly, looking yourself over to be sure nothing had changed, not that you'd remember, before looking back to the woman turned vixen and earning a snicker. Even with the memory and reality changes the flashlight brought on somehow you were sure nothing about your body had changed, if it had you were sure you wouldn't be so boring... and you were boring, there was something about your unremarkable human body that felt dreadful, the more you thought about it the more you were shocked you hadn't used the light on yourself already. Looking back to Rose again you saw she'd been shining the light on you once again, earning a scowl from you and another laugh from her. "Are you ever going to actually change me, or are you going to keep doing these fake outs? Fuck, just anything at this point, we both know how much I hate this boring old body." You reminded her, you'd practically begged her to change you after all, and now she was taking her sweet time, you didn't even care what she did you were just done being so boring and mundane.
"Sorry, just having a little fun playing this out." Rose assured with another laugh, toying with the flashlight as she seemed to think over her options. "Just to be sure though, remind me exactly what you're looking for?" She added, her tail swishing with excitement behind her. Somehow she seemed amused in some way she wouldn't quite tell you, though if you were on the butt end of a joke you couldn't begin to know what.
"Like I said, I hate being a boring old human, especially when there are so many interesting options now that we have that flashlight." You began, somehow earning more laughter from her, though you really couldn't say why, you'd been very clear about this from the start. "You promised you'd do something about that but you've just been shining it on me without doing anything so far, it might have been funny the first time but now I'm just annoyed." You added pointedly, folding your arms as she actively shined the light in your eyes again as you explained yourself.
"And, just to double check, you really don't care what I change? No opinions on what I turn you into." She asked, failing to hide a smirk, one that you still couldn't begin to understand. "And, you'll still let me share the flashlight when we're done?"
"Of course, that was the deal." You began rolling your eyes, you'd settled on that before anything else, you'd love to share the flashlight with Rose of course, she was your best friend after all. "And no, I don't care at all, I just want a change, I want to be exciting and new like you!" You reminded her, remembering your lifelong longing to be something other than human, the one you'd confided in her right before handing over the flashlight.
