"I'll take whatever test you choose to give me, wise one," you say, realizing you've got little choice at this point. Better you should stay on the good side of Granny and Red than risk their wrath.
"You speak well when there's no spot of danger, young man," Granny says, "But do you keep your wits in crisis, I wonder?"
"Umm..." you say, trying to find the right (non-offensive) words.
"Silence!" Granny snaps at you, muttering a few words under her breath, an incantation. Red goes rigid, hearing the words, her face taking on an almost hypnotized expression, blank and emotionless. Wolfie, the black wolf, whimpers and runs away, whining.
"This whole forest is magickal," she tells you, her hand beginning to glow a dim green light. "And tonight, this whole forest is the site of your testing. Some will help you here, some will not. Some are my servants, some serve others. Tonight, all you have to do is survive. Escape my touch til dawn, and you will have proven yourself to me. Fail, and be my servant in this forest until the end of time!"
"What?" You ask, confused.
"Behold my touch!" Granny says, clasping Red with her glowing hand.
Red shuddered, "Muh...muyh...muh.." in a sound of almost prepubescent pleasure. Her eyes glow yellow, and she falls to the ground. Concealed by the cloak, her body makes sounds the likes of which you've never heard before. Soon enough, the cloak falls away, and she rises up, a small bipedal werewolf, snarling at you.
"This is when you run, fool," says Granny, her teeth starting to grow longer.
