Richard had been Janessa’s favorite hunting partner back when he’d been Jasper. A sturdy, well built man, he’d always been up for a good hunt followed by an even better time at the local taverns. Richard loved to flirt unapologetically with the barwenches; pinching their asses, groping them, and often being slapped. Every time that happened, though, Richard would simply roar with laughter and continue celebrating.
It was hard, therefore, for Janessa to see any of him in the beautiful girl who Antyny escorted into the harem, one arm around her waist as she glanced around with glazed eyes. She looked more like one of the women who giggled, cooed, or shrieked in mock surprise when Richard pulled them onto his lap. Her light brown hair flowed down past her shoulders. Richard had always been a man who struggled with the stalking during the hunt, but this girl moved with a dancer’s grace.
Antyny smiled as he announced “Raya, meet your new harem sisters. Borya, Francesca, and Janessa.” He said, nodding to each woman in turn, who perked up as he said their name. He escorted her to the center of the chamber, and turned for the entrance. “I’m afraid matters of the kingdom require my attention. I will be back later.”
To Janessa’s relief(and guilt), Raya was still so far under the effects of Antyny’s magic that she hardly seemed to notice them. She thrust her chest out and struck a seductive pose, pouting when Antyny still briskly walked out the door. With a sigh, Raya lay back down on the bed and shut her eyes, seeming to fall asleep near instantly.
Janessa knew she had to play this carefully. Raya had been well aware of all of the concubines he had, and likewise knew full well Janessa had not been one of them. Once that had been established, well…..things would go bad very, very quickly. Janessa didn’t even want to think of how angry Antyny would be when he realized how he’d been fooled. Or worse, how excited he might get at the realization the former prince was now a beautiful concubine….one who he’d been regularly fucking for months.
