"Jake! Help me! Please! Don't let me disappear!" Mr. Kelb screamed, looking like he was about to cry.
Oh, no. Jake didn't want that to happen. Sure, he wanted to mess with Mr. Kelb but make him disappear? No, he couldn't have that on his conscious. Jake quickly studied the machine, trying to find the off button, when he saw one labeled "Revert" instead. Oh, please let this button work, Jake thought as the student practically slammed down that button.
Almost instantly, Mr. Kelb's regression ground to a halt, and then a moment later, the changes he had experienced started to undo themselves. A sigh of relief escaped the Gym teacher's lips as he felt himself starting to fit into his clothes again.
"Yeah, come back to me, muscles. Make me a man again," and just as Mr. Kelb commanded, those muscles came back. He flexed his arms and saw the beginner gains he made when he was younger. Now that he was growing instead of shrinking, he could appreciate all the hard work he put into his body over the years. Yeah, it won't be long now till he's back to his old self.
"No, more messing around with Phil's weird science project, right Jake? Jake?! What's happening with you!?"
Jake was a bit confused by the gym teacher's statement, mainly because he was too engrossed in watching his teacher regrow. It was almost like one of those time lapses. Once the student looked down, he understood why Mr. Kelb was yelling. Jake's shirt, once loose fitting, now was clinging to his body. Did his shirt shrink? No, that wasn't what was happening. He was getting bigger!?
"Huh? Why is the machine affecting me?" Jake said as he watched his hands become bigger and meatier by the second.
"I think Mr. Dirksen might have a few kinks in the machine. And it's not like he expected to use this machine on humans." Stupid Phil, Mr. Kelb thought. His inventions never worked the way he intended. The gym teacher was thinking about all the curses he was going to yell at the science teacher when he noticed how Jake was changing. Wow, he was getting pretty buff. Who knew such a weedy kid would bulk up like that.
Jake, on his part, was confused about why he was getting as muscular as he was. He was growing some fine-looking pecs, and he could feel abs starting to form on his stomach. Jake didn't exercise much unless he had to, so maybe he just had good genes, or was it the machine doing this? Either way, it was strange, but the strangest part about this was that he was actually enjoying what was happening to him. Jake flexed an arm and watch as his usually non-existent biceps show some muscle, and it was still growing right before his eyes.
Usually, Jake would make fun of Coach Kelb for having such huge muscles. But now, having them for himself, he thought that maybe Julia was right. Maybe he was just jealous.
And maybe, instead of trying to stop this, he should let this happen...
