As Jeff thinks about what he should do, a thought pops into his head, causing him to facepalm himself, “man, coming to think of it: the PC-Version of the Chronivac has not been the best choice. I should have gotten the App-Version, that way I would have a portable Chronivac and would not have to carry around my heave Laptop, besides that: I’d be noticed much easier, since I would have to set everything up before able to scan someone or something,” he says to himself, “maybe there is a way to transfer the Chronivac onto my phone, causing it to disappear from my Laptop”.
After a while of scrolling through the options, Jeff finds an option which allows him to transfer the Chronivac onto his phone. Jeff wastes no time and starts to transfer the program to his phone, after the transfer is completed, the Chronivac on his Laptop deletes itself, causing Jeff to now only have the App-Version. The teen smiles, as he looks down at his phone, “now, my phone is a portable Chronivac,” he says to himself, “this is defiantly so much better! I think I also have an idea how to test it out: school… will be a little more exciting tomorrow!”
Jeff gets up earlier than usual the next day, the 16 year-old gets himself ready and after a quick breakfast, is on his way to school. The teen is grinning the whole time, excited to see what the day will bring, he already has a few ideas: transforming his bully into a dog, transforming his teacher into a child, transforming a dumb jock into a some sports equipment… and so much more!
As he walks down the hallway, on his way to his locker, and turns a corner, he bumps into Riley: a 14 year-old boy with brown hair, a light brown tan and an athletic body, who’s profession is to pickpocket other students.
Riley has spotted Jeff walking towards him, and decided the older male should be his first victim of the day, so he hides behind the corner and literally lets Jeff bump into him. Riley knew which pocket Jeff has his phone, so as the two collide the younger male plunges his hand into Jeff’s Jacket, and without Jeff noticing, takes the boy’s phone. Riley then quickly hides the phone in his own jacket as he lets himself fall to the ground, this all happens in the blink of an eye. The boy lets out a yelp of surprise, “ouch, hey… watch where you’re going,” he says, after landing on his butt, scowling up at Jeff.
Jeff, not realizing his phone is missing, scowls back, “watch out yourself, Riley,” he says, he then sighs and holds out his hand, which Riley takes, and Jeff helps him to his feet. “Sorry,” Jeff says, “I’m a little out of my head today”.
Riley dusts himself off, he then looks up at the much taller boy, Jeff being at least two heads taller than him, “all good, Jeff,” he says, “I guess we both didn’t pay attention”.
Jeff nods, then after an awkward silence they both continue on their way, when Jeff arrives at his locker and starts to put his stuff in it, his eyes widen when he realizes that his phone is missing, “what the f… where is my phone,” he says, his expression quickly changes from shock to anger, “Riley, you piece of shit! I should have known,” Jeff closes his locker and runs back the way he came, hoping to catch up with the little pickpocket.
Meanwhile, once he is alone, Riley takes out Jeff’s phone, a grin on his face, “easy-peasy,” he says to himself, “now, let’s see what we have… hm, what’s this? I never seen this App before”. Riley opens the App, “looks like some weird game,” he says to himself, “I haven’t heard of it though. Hm…,” the boy opens the manual and starts to read, his eyes widen. “What the freak,” he says, “yeah right… as if something like that exists! But… if this App really is able to do these stuff… it could come in handy”. The boy then gets an idea, he grins evilly to himself, he takes out his own phone and opens the App store. He soon finds the App and downloads and installs it, after that he transfers Jeff’s file into his Chronivac and puts his phone back into his pocket. Riley grins, “now, to give Jeff his phone back,” he says, “hehe… oh, I’ll have so much fun! I can’t wait to try the App out,” knowing that Jeff must have discovered his phone missing by now, Riley decides to walk back to where they have bumped into each other.
When Jeff rounds a corner he sees Riley walking up to him, “RILEY! YOU DIPSHIT,” he shouts, running towards the boy, “I KNOW YOU HAVE MY PHONE! GIVE IT BA...ck,” Jeff quietly says the last letters quietly our of surprise, when he sees Riley hold out his phone to him.
“Sorry, Jeff,” he says, “I guess I couldn’t resist. Don’t worry, I haven’t done anything to your phone!”
Jeff takes his phone from the boy, “this is surprising,” he says, tilting his head, “normally you would try to sell it. Why not this time?”
Riley snorts, “I may be a little pickpocket, but I am not dumb,” he says, “the reason is: I really don’t want to get beaten up, since we were the only ones in the hall, and since we collided, you’d be all over me. So, I decided to just give you your phone back, besides that, I kinda like you, even if we don’t know each other really”.
Jeff is still surprised, but then he chuckles, “wise choice, Riley,” he says with a grin, “since you gave me my phone back, I guess I can give you a second chance. But seriously, you really should stop doing this kind of shit”.
Riley nods, “yeah… to be honest, I am 14 now, which means I can be locked up and I really don’t want to go to jail,” he says, “but… it’s kinda hard to fight the urge not to pickpocket”.
Jeff chuckles, “you’ll manage,” he says, “we better should head to class, I guess I’ll see you around”.
Riley nods, he then watches Jeff as he heads off, the 14 year-old grins to himself, ‘oh, you can count on that, Jeff,’ he thinks to himself, ‘we’ll see each other sooner than you think’.
