She leaned forward, her hands touching the cold floor, suddenly very interested in the rest of the party. "What was I saying?" She asked, angling her head to see them.
"Dunno..." Andrew said.
It must not have been that important. She sat there for a few seconds, just looking at the others. Her nostrils flared and she moved to sniff Andrew. "Want to play?"
"Sure," he said.
"Weren't we supposed to be doing something else?" Julia asked, suddenly.
"Er?" Andrew replied, distracted
Julia was sure something had been going on, but she was finding it hard to concentrate...especially as she and Andrew began to have fun together. She started to smile. Each time she started to think about what was off, it got harder...so she slowly stopped...first worrying about what was wrong, and then....thinking all together. Things like finishing her college applications, and making her parents proud suddenly began to fade from her mind.
She happily ran around with Andrew on all fours...not noticing her hands looked more like a second set of feet...that would require more deductive power than her mind was becoming capable of. Her short hair grew long, like a mane, her previously neatly styled eyebrows turned bushy on top of a thick forehead.
Her clothes having vanished, not that she still had modesty, she only retained a collar. Her sense of self-awareness fading, her tongue dropped out of her mouth and she began to pant, playing with her new friend being all she thought about.
