While Easter was the main thing celebrated around this time of year in Animalia and its colonies, other colonies were developing notoriety for celebrating completely different things.
---
For example, while Easter wasn't celebrated as a holiday in and of itself on Heiya Island, it was celebrated as part of Songkran, which by now was extremely popular, mainly due to the big water fight. However, that wasn't the only part of Songkran, as some people were surprised to learn. There was also something collectively called Likke, which included plays/theater, martial arts tournaments/showcases, and folk songs. The Quasi-Raccoon Cuties' coverage of it was quite interesting, partly because they got to be part of "When Worlds Collide..."
"History remembers me as Toyotomi Hideyoshi," said one man they were talking to, "But I've since taken a new name to show how I'm an old man with a new heart: Hideyoshi Tokichiro." While Jin was more confused about this, shi made sure to ask her fellow cuties about this, since they clearly knew more about him then shi did.
Later on, Tokichiro answered another question in an unexpected way.
"This is all part of Otakemaru's treatment." he said during the brief intermission between folk singers.
"Treatment for what?" Asked Jin.
"It turns out, not only are we taught from a young age to hate and fear yokai, Otakemaru and his sister were taught from a young age to hate and fear humans, even though they wanted to live in harmony with us humans. Because of that, a simple misunderstanding between Otakemaru and the village he was staying in got way out of hand, and he ended up becoming one of Japan's most powerful demon lords. But to cut a long story short, Otakemaru was defeated by his sister's child, Hiddy (who's also my close friend), Otakemaru realized who Hiddy was, and let go of the hatred that made him an Aratama. So, now we're helping Otakemaru overcome his innate dislike of humans with these kinds of celebrations."

While Easter and its various ways of celebrating was the main focus, there were those who used the occasion to start new beginnings, and in some cases conversions. While rabbits were the main focus, there were a few who got different conversions for different reasons, and sometimes this would cause some unusual results.
The best-known case of this was Lin, who got a panda conversion to deal with a morphine addiction. While not as bad as, say, heroin or fentanyl, it was still pretty bad. However, it was afterward that seemed to show how bad her addiction was. Before, she was rather weak-willed and subdued; afterward, she was a strong-willed go-getter, as well as a bodybuilder and a lesbian. While Molly and Shelly were more than willing to take her in, so to speak, they were doubling down on their training ever since they learned that "Ela Shah" and several of their old rivals were undergoing conversion. Lin didn't seem to mind this, and in fact began training in Muy Thai Kickboxing, planning on making her own debut in Claw Coliseum.
