When Justin got home that afternoon, he went straight down to his basement. He made sure all the screws tight and wires were in place on the chamber he built. He then took out his phone and called a number.
"Hello? Could I speak to Ms. Graves please? Ms. Graves! Good to hear from you. Tell Mr. L- Oh! He's decided to go with another machine? Oh. Well tell him thanks for the opportunity. Okay Ms. Graves. Bye."
After hanging up Justin was visibly upset. He was counting on the money from his invention to pay for college. As he was headed upstairs he got a message on his phone.
Justin then got a notification that 30 thousand dollars was deposited in his account. It wasn't the 500k he was expecting but it was better than nothing. Justin ran upstairs in delight. He almost knocked his mother Brenda over in the process.
"Where's the fire Justin?"
"Theres some good news and bad news. The big project I've been working on got rejected unfortunately. But they still gave me a little stipend. So, I'm treating you and dad to dinner."
"That's great Justin! But first I have a bone to pick with you."
"What's wrong? What did I do?"
"I was at the grocery store and ran across Alison and Amanda. They both looked like they could She-Hulk a run for her money!! And when I asked them how it happened, YOUR name was mentioned a number of times. Is this true?"
"Umm...yeah..."
"So....what the hell dude??"
"Huh??"
"How come Alison Mackleson gets to go from a small, mousy brunette to a contender for Ms. Olympia and you didn't even ask me?"
"Well mom. Amanda was the one who helped me create the formula. And she volunteered to be the first human test subject. There were side effects. Really nasty ones. Her mom just happened to be the second trial of the improved formula. And thanks to them, I was able to tweak it even more. Now it's perfect. The old formula was only really effective on women. If a man used it, he would only get a fraction of the results. I learned that the only way for a man to properly absorb the formula was to atomize it under high pressure and inhale it. That's what my invention was for. To put men and women on an equal footing."
"Amazing! And you're sure it works now?"
"Absolutely. And I made it even more powerful than before. So, if you decide to try it, you'll be getting the REALLY good stuff!"
"My son, the genius..."
"The good thing is women have the option of using the pressure chamber or drinking the formulae directly. There's no difference. So what do you say mom?"
