Jasmine yawned as she half listened to teacher talking. She was seated in her first hour math class, not exactly the most exciting class, as she listened to the teacher drone on. She scribbled down notes whenever she caught them, trying to at least pretend to be interested, though her mind kept wandering to the other students. A few boys, and a few girls she noticed, were sneaking a look at her, which made her chuckle a bit.
She had to admit she had always been a little jealous of Rachel before everything had happened. She had her boyfriends sure, but none of them had been more than a casual fling. Rachel had seemed genuinely happy with Leslie, something she had never really had, which just made her more angry about what that bitch had done to her sister.
So, what was she going to do now that she was on the other side of the country. Everything had changed so quickly, and it all felt so weird for her. She was trying to do what she could for her family, but things had been hard for her lately. She sighed a little as she rested her head on the desk.
"Miss. Covaks, pick your head up," the teacher said.
"Oh, sorry Mrs. Jones," Jasmine said as she sat back up quickly. "Sorry, its been... hard at home."
"Alright, just try not to fall asleep," the teacher said and went back to the lesson.
Jasmine sighed and looked up at the clock. The class was almost over anyway, she just needed to last a few more minutes and she would be out of here. She returned to taking notes and about 5 minutes later the bell rang and she got up and shuffled out with the rest of the class.
