You feel some movement as your lamp is being pushed somewhere. The lamp is enchanted to remain mostly still even as it is moved around. Unbeknownst to you, a policeman has picked up your lamp from the sidewalk it was one as he was getting a scruffy shoplifter into his vehicle. That good-for-nothing teen was trying to steal alcohol bottles from a store. Of course he planned to sell the liquor back and make a profit. But he'd been caught, handcuffed and pushed into the back of the policeman's vehicle. The policeman, Roy, knew this kid. His name was Sid and he was always getting in trouble. As he starts driving, he can hear the teen grumble, yell insults and kick at the supposedly injustice of his situation. The lamp, after a swerve, jumps near Roy's leg and his thigh rubbed your home. Just then, another police car goes in the opposite direction and the driver smiles and waves at Roy in a friendly manner. He has a German shepherd canine service dog in the back swat and Roy mutters that HE would like to have a faithful companion upon his backseat instead of a delinquent lout.
Hearing this, you smile. You don't even have to get out of this lamp again! You'll obey the policeman's wish. He wants to have a dog instead of a little jerk in his car, well, so be it! You'll make the delinquent a young dog in training, intelligent to help this man. That will be more useful to the world than a shoplifter for sure. And so you're not feeling bad, you won 't make the delinquent a female dog. Male he'll remain. Whether the policeman will want to cut his balls, well, that will be up to him. Roy starts when he hears a high-pitched bark. He turns around but con't believe his eyes. Instead of Sid, there is a dog! A young scruffy medium-sized dog extirpating its paw from the now empty handcuffs. He looks at Roy and barks happily. He's got a collar which even has
s all of Roy's information! The poor man doesn't understand but as he gets to the police station, he prefers to say Sid has escaped and that he's just adopted a dog. Even his chief suddenly thinks he gave him the authorisation weeks ago. And what a nice dog Scruffy is! Friendly with cops and law-abiding citizens, excellent at finding illegal substances and drugs and incredibly smart. He loves the other police dogs too and adores Roy to the bottom of his sweet dog heart. No one knows where Sid had disappeared to but no one really cares. Certainly not at the police station where Scruffy is there instead to make everyone feel better.
As for you, you wait for your next wish. Twisting wishes and having complete control over what the magic does is actually not that bad. It's great fun and you can punish bad guys and reward good people. Or just trick people. Maybe it's not such a punishment, not to mention that the lamp is rather comfy, to say the least.
