Benji Breaks Away

added by JayCris24 A year ago A BM S Anthro

"Worry not, friend. We'll get you all right as rain in no time," Asher said as he guided you further into the house with a smile. However, you could tell something was wrong, very wrong. You weren't a badger, nor were you from London. You were just some human who was trying to help his non-human neighbors move into the neighborhood. This quite clearly wasn't the way your neighbors should be repaying you. You needed to act quickly before he could make any further changes to your mind, which had already been wavering as a result of the changes he had been making to you.

You began to shake your paw away from the European badger who had taken your hand and broke his hold on you in a panic. “Something wrong, Benji?” Asher asked, wondering why you pulled away from him so abruptly.

“WHAT DID YOU DO TO ME?” you wailed as your newfound claws hit the floors of the house, and you began to sprint through the house.

"Benji! Where are you going?" Asher cried out as he chased you toward the door. “You don't want to wear those soaked clothes, don’t you? I’m just trying to help you! This isn’t a proper way to treat your hosts!”

You began to growl angrily at Asher for what he had done to you, “Help? Do you think making me like you is helpful? Tell me how it’s proper to turn your guests into badgers! If anyone here is acting improper, it is almost certainly you!”

“Well, I never, Benji!" Asher fired back at your accusation, "I-I just felt alone here and I wanted someone to be with, and I thought it’d be better if we were both badgers!” he explained as his ears twitched nervously and his whiskers drooped. This certainly wasn't the way how Asher had expected this to go, and his plans he had for you have gone horribly wrong.

As you reached the door, you turned back to face Asher and yelled at him, "You have no right to do this to me! I never consented to this, and I demand that you turn me back right now!"

Asher looked taken aback by your outburst and appeared to be considering your words. He'd been thrown off guard by your reaction, leaving him on his heels. “I-I don’t know how I can reverse this. I’m so terribly sorry, Benji.”

However, before he could say anything else, you heard Felix’s voice coming from upstairs. “Boys! What the hell is going on?!” You saw this as your break to get away from Asher. It wasn't like you wanted to deal with the older badger’s wrath after all, as American Badgers tended to be more aggressive than their European counterparts like Asher, and what you had just become. You took advantage of the distraction and bolted out the door, running as fast as you could towards your house. You could overhear Felix and Asher arguing in the house you were running from. It still sounded muffled, even with your advanced hearing. Something about Asher being terribly irresponsible with his powers and putting the two of them in danger because of it.

As you ran in fear, you reflected on what had happened to you. You had definitely gone through some changes as your feet had changed, as well as your hands, resembling the shape of what Asher had. You could see that your face had developed a muzzle, coated in white fur with black stripes running down to your nose. You were then able to confirm the worst. You had turned into an anthropomorphic badger and it was all the work of your new neighbors. How on earth was this possible? How can you turn into something that wasn't human? How did anthropomorphic animals exist? It all felt like something that’d come from a fantasy novel or something you’d find on some website on the internet you’d often frequent. To make matters worse, you were still changing. you felt your already soaked clothes feel tighter on you as you began to decrease in height, taking the stocky shape that the badgers had, making it more difficult for you to run back home, but nonetheless, you reached that familiar house where your mom and sisters were still having dinner.

As you run back to your front porch, you ring the doorbell, frantically knocking on the door as hard as you can in desperation for your mom or one of your sisters.

"MUM, HELP!" you scream, only to realize that your voice has taken a bit of an accent, much like the one Asher had. You try to correct yourself to match your previously human voice but to little avail. Tears flowed down the stripes of your new fur as you realized Asher had even taken your old voice from you. However, you hear someone rush towards the door, as you prepare your explanation for what has happened to you, hoping for the best.

As the door opens, How does your family react?
