Susan looked downward at the baby that was a toddler a few moments ago. One of the Dice was sitting innocently by the girl which was identical to the one in her hand.
"Susan Collins, the spirit of youth has bonded with you. Each roll of the dice shall return more of what you have lost." Susan's eyes opened at the voice coming out of nowhere.
"This can't be right. There is no way these little dice can make someone younger. But if they can . . .its worth a try."
Susan rolled once. "Seventy-Five years you have walked this Earth, now this number is but Seventy-Four. Each roll of the dice returns more of what you have lost." Susan looked a bit disappointed as there would be no difference.
Susan rolled twice quickly. "Seventy-Four Years you have walked this Earth, now this number is but Sixty-Seven. Each roll of the dice returns more of what you have lost." This made a difference as she critiqued herself in the mirror. White hair is now a bit more blond and some of her wrinkles are gone. She felt far more sure on her feet and could do so without the walker.
Susan rolled twice more quickly. "Sixty-Seven years you have walked this Earth, now this number is but Sixty." More wrinkles disappeared and her hair was approaching halfway back to blonde.
She looked at the dice in her hands, the baby, and the other dice. She could pick them both up now. . .though she might still be a bit unsteady on her feet. A few more rolls might help with that. But a larger number of rolls would make it so she might be seen as the baby's mother. Of course Susan could leave and simply report an abandoned baby to the staff.
