Rebecca looked in shock as she watched fur grow over her friend's body. After a moment, Natalie was now a humanoid Calico cat, looking a bit sheepish as she looked at Rebecca who was staring at her in shock. "I know this is a lot to take in..."
"You're a cat?" Rebecca asked, shocked.
"A werecat, yes," Natalie said with a chuckle as she leaned back. "It's a long story, but it happened not long after I came to Moon Lake. It would take a long time to explain everything, but I'm still me, just a lot fuzzier."
Rebecca looked at her, trying to figure out what to say. She had never thought of such things being real, werecats were real? What else was real?
"Can I..." she said, reaching over.
"Go ahead," Natalie answered with a chuckle.
Rebecca placed her hand on her friend's arm. The fur felt so weird, so soft... it felt real. "Why did you... how did you..."
"When I moved here, I learned about a local law that requires at least one person in a family to become a were, and... well... one thing led to another and I wound up getting close to a werecat couple," Natalie explained. "They were more than willing to welcome me into the pride."
"So, all the people..."
"No, no, they're part of a werewolf pack that are friends of mine," Natalie chuckled. "Like I said, they're going to help you... if you want now that you know the truth."
"I'd take help from Bigfoot at this point if he offered it," Rebecca sighed, getting a laugh from Natalie. "He doesn't live in town, does he?"
"No, he lives outside of town," Natalie answered, causing Rebecca to pause. "I'm kidding!"
