Bahiya was having the time of her life. Near-eternal life, even. It was so great to be free! She could do absolutely everything she wanted! And she had gone on a very long vacation and made the most of it in the best hotels she could find. With magic, she could have endless amounts of money and limitless credit cards. And she could travel wherever she desired! No lines, no airports, no train stations and no long hours waiting around. This was the best! She relaxed on tropical islands, went skiing down snowy slopes and went to visit all the beautiful and famous sites in the world. She was lucky her lamp got broken like it did! It was so unexpected yet so blissful! Bahiya started to think about the providential human that had shattered her lamp and made an involuntary wish. As she let her mind wander, she did think about him and how great it was he screwed up so much. Yet at the same time, well, she could not help sensing a pang of guilt. She owed her new freedom to this human guy but she did not know what had happened to him. Oh, she knew he had been changed into a donkey and taken away, but it had been months and she did not know what had happened to him. Well, maybe she could check. A little, at least. So she magicked an enchanted mirror and ordered it to show her that human she had changed into a donkey. The polished surface showed her a farm with a donkey munching forlornly a bale of hay, with a pond with ducks nearby and a few goats in the same pasture. He had mud on his coat and legs and just seemed to be bored and cruising through life without much interest. She transported herself there, wearing an apron, big boots and a straw hat.
"Hi, Daniel," she said with a smile as the ducks scattered at her sudden arrival. "How are you doing? Liking being a donkey, like you wished? Because my freedom's been great for me!"
Daniel snorted and stomped his hoof in anger, as if he intended to charge into Bahiya like a furious bull. He was clearly angry, unhappy with his life and saw her as the main culprit. As if SHE had said the words that had led to his change! Really!
"Hey!" she said. "I just came to see how was doing the human who freed me. Out of the pure goodness of my heart. To even help you if you turn out to be unhappy. But nothing obliges me to help you if you get too obnoxious."
Daniel stopped at once but snorted anyway.
"I can understand that it hasn't been fun for you so I've decided to change you into something else. Of course, I take the decision, as I cannot comprehend donkey brays."
Daniel was overjoyed but soon he was frightened to the core as the genie waved her magic around him and had a wide smile upon her face. Wait!... What did she have in mind? He had to know and give his opinion! What was he going to become? He just wanted his life back! What was going to happen to him? What was he about to become? Help!
