"You're not going to believe this, but they'd like you to play the lead role in their adaptation of Alice in Wonderland." Rob tells you.
"Oh. Really? They want me to be Alice?" Kate says in a surprised tone.
"Yeap. They saw the tape of you playing Alice from your school play's rendition of Alice in Wonderland and thought you'd be perfect for their film." Rob explains.
"My school play ... but that was from middle school. Rob. They are aware that I'm an adult, right?' Kate asks Rob with concern in her voice.
"Of course, I explained that to them quite clearly. At least I think I did."
"YOU THINK?" Kate yelled.
"Don't worry about it. I'm sure they're aware of your age. Besides, I got a good feeling about these people. There on their way to doing big things, I can tell. This is the big break you've been waiting for. One that'll really get the studios to notice you. What do you think?"
"(sighs) Well it isn't an ideal starting point. But if you think it's the right call, then I'll do it."
"Great! Now, they wanted me to tell you to meet them at 2 p.m. inside Studio G."
"Sound good. I'll be there."
"Perfect. I'll call them back and let them know your coming. You won't regret this."
"I'm sure I won't. Bye."
You hang up the phone and lay back in your chair. Though you were disappointed to not be starring in something with a bit more credibility, at least it was a project that you had experience with. In truth, you had always had a soft spot for Carroll's stories. You then get up off the chair and walk into the bathroom. You change into your nightgown and start staring at the mirror. You then begin talking to your reflection, mentally preparing yourself for the role of Alice.
