Again the thoughts came. This time of the revenge he would take on the demoness who had transformed his sister. She was a predator, a destroyer, a..."Victim." A voice in Kyles head interrupted. "What?! Who are you?", he thought. "I'm you, at least the part that cuts through the bullshit and speaks the truth." "She turned my sister into this thing. How can she be the victim here?" "So she was always a creature of darkness?" "No. At some point she must have been..." "Someone like your sister?", the voice interrupted. "Well, yes.... Its Jennifer's fault! She's still the same stuck up bitch who dated all the jocks one night after another. Still the same person as before...", Kyle stopped in mid-thought. "Yes?", the voice questioned?
"I started this. I cursed her and now all these people have been hurt including my sister."

Cedric and Marisa had been standing and watching Kyle. Cedric hoped Kyle would get up the courage to use the sword so they could get out of there. They had already stayed longer than saftey would allow. He could not wield the sword himself. Long ago it had rejected him. Indeed, he could only hold it for a few minutes at a time which was why he had passed it to Kyle so quickly.
Marisa was slightly more aware that something was going on with Kyle that was not about courage or lack of it. He was giving off signs she had seen before when someone entered a ritual unprepared and payed the price. She positioned herself to cut him off should he start to run.
Neither was prepared for what occured next.

"What do I do now?", Kyle thought. The voice, however was silent. "Its all my fault. The templar was right. I should be punished. I can turn the sword on myself.... No, Cedric would stop me before I could use it." Kyle's mind raced as he tried to come up with some way he could be punished without anyone stopping him. Suddenly, with the clarity only the truely insane could muster, he knew. It was perfect and he would give Kim a chance to get justice.
Kyle glanced to the side to see where Cedric was. He was not in a position to stop him. As tears welled up in his eyes, Kyle dropped the sword and started to run. He ran as fast as he could, straight toward Kim, and leapt onto the broken form of the demoness. "Kill Me! End it now!"
Cedric tried to reach Kyle but was stopped by a fence of tentacles. Marissa dropped to her knees. She didn't want to see what would happen next, but she couldn't take her eyes off Kyle.
Kyles tears rained down on the body of the demoness. Then it spoke in his sister's voice. "Kyle, what are you doing? I'm barely holding back my instincts to tear you apart." "Its my fault. I used the curse on Jennifer. You would still be human if not for me." "Its not your fault. I was weak, should have fought harder or died before submitting." "It only justice that you should kill me." "A part of me wants to. To feel the joy of ripping and tearing, but I won't give in." "Sis, I....I love you." "I love you too, little brother." A lone tentacle rose up and brushed gently against Kyles cheek.
A new thought entered Kyles head, something the Templar had warned against, but at this moment warnings, demonesses, heaven and hell just didn't matter.
