You sit in the nearest chair of the shop. You are happy to hired but start to wonder if it was really a good idea. Summer looks much too happy and enthusiastic and though she does not look mean, you ponder if you'll be able to share much with her or endure working with her, indeed suffering her presence all day long. Already her idea of having the same shoes as Cinderella sound really tacky and sappy. But hopefully the shoe won't fit you. Moreover, when you open the box, you realise there's only one shoe. What the hell are you supposed to do with only one shoe?
"Hey, where's the other shoe?" you call out to Summer.
"Coming right up," she answered with a wide smile.
Yet she did not make a single movement. to fetch you the other. You also realized that the shoe fit you perfectly. In fact, it seemed tailored for your foot. Moreover, the glass was unbelievably more comfortable than you would have expected. And prettier, too. And then, a second shoe magically appeared on your other foot, in all ways identical to the one from the box and handed by Summer.
"What... What's happening?" you say, naturally taken aback.
"Oh, nothing. Your uniform is just appearing upon your body," said Summer with a kind tone of voice.
Indeed, in a shower of sparkled your clothes morphed into an elegant dress, yet not so fancy that it stopped you from working and attending customers. Your hair also became delicately coiffed in a sophisticated style. You could feel new makeup appearing on your face and your black nail polish was replaced by a girlier light pink one. You gazed at yourself. Uniform? Well... Actually... It did not look half bad... In fact, you found it quite becoming. Yes, you looked like a princess. Like Cinderella. And... What could be wrong with that?...
"That is your uniform for greeting and catering to customers. Your hours of cleaning shall be done in this," explained Summer as she walked towards and showed you another set of clothes upon a hanger.
These clothes were a simple longish skirt and a white top, along with flat shoes. The type you use to clean because they're cheap, practical and it's not big deal to get them dirty or soiled.
"Cinderella before the ball. Appropriate, don’t you think?" beamed Summer.
"Yes," you whisper, amazed by her good sense.
It was a terrific idea! You could truly embody Cinderella, and make money to buy lots of My Little Pony toys for your sister. These toys took place in a fantasy world and it was the same as fairy tales, right? And what was greater and more enchanting than fairy tales? Oh, everything had become so perfect! You embraced and thanked profusely Summer in gratitude. Summer was happy too. She had known from the start that you had a good heart and that you wanted to help your sister. With a magic shoe, she had helped you achieve your goals, even if it was not in the way you expected.
