Noah pulled out a pregnancy test that she vaguely remembered in this life peeing on and throwing away in a state of shock before coming up here--at least in this version of reality that's what she'd done. The pink pluses starring right back at her.
Noah then said, "I found it in the trash back at the apartment."
"Well, it came out positive, but you know this might be a false positive--I won't know for certain until I do some more tests," said Samantha.
"You know the likelihood of it being a false positive is close to none as much as I do, not with how... careless we've gotten lately."
"Noah--"
"I just wanted to say... needed to say that no matter what you choose--to have the baby or not, I respect it and will support you all the way."
Upon seeing the sincere look of honesty and love, Samantha, who before purchasing the ring hadn't dated for years, had taken soppy declarations such as that to be overly sentimentalized melodrama, but now... well, now it felt so good to have someone--no, Noah, it felt good to have Noah say that.
"I wish we had more time before the wedding," said Samantha without thinking about the ring. Reality shimmered and her bridesmaid dress shifted to more normal day wear as a few more hours were brought into reality and Samantha knew she had enough time to really see if this was truly the fulfillment of her truest wish--to connect with someone--and so she hurried over to Noah and hugged him suddenly, taking him by surprise and causing them to fall back onto the bed.
"Well, you certainly swept me off my feet," joked Noah, causing them both to laugh a little.
"Thank you," she said to Noah before kissing him, which of course led to him reciprocating and them enjoying themselves in more than just the memories this new reality had implanted in them.
