Sneaking below deck, the man in the trench coat made his way through the bowels of the ship. Despite being rather bundled up even for a sea voyage, he moved silently and quickly, avoiding any crewmen or staff that happened to be passing. At last, he came to the room where the auction prizes were being kept.
The room was sealed like a vault with its thick, metal door secured with a key and combination lock, but the man did not care. Striding up to the door, he placed a gloved hand on the surface. Beneath the shadow of his wide-brimmed hat, a faint glow shown from behind his dark circular sunglasses.
Instantly, the door clicked and opened easily. Gliding inside, the man surveyed the treasures around him. Then, he took off one of his gloves, revealing a graceful, smooth hand with skin so pale it was almost blue. On one of the hand's long fingers was a ring of gold, decorated with an emblem of a spiral seashell surrounded by three stars. The emblem of Atlantis.
