Aman continued his shift. He hoped he would get a reply from Sam, but by the end of the shift, he had recieved nothing. Dissappointed, he changed out of his uniform and back to his casual clothes.
He stepped outside. He looked around, to see if Sam was there waiting. Obviously he wasn't, he hadn't answered his message.
Then, Aman felt a tap on his shoulder. He jumped around and saw him, towering over him, it was Sam.
"Hey, just saw your message. Did you finish your shift?" Sam asked. He played it cool, but in reality, Sam had spent all this time fretting if he should pursue Aman or not, or if he should just come clean and tell him about his sister.
"So, um," Aman struggled go find the words. His heart was beating. "Would you like to grab a coffe then?"
"Of course, I'd love to, Bernard." Sam chuckled as he called Aman the same name as the character from the book.
Aman blushed. He immedeately regretted signing off with that name. Comparing himself to him, and by proxy the relationship in the book to a potential one between Aman and Sam. Aman hoped Sam hadn't found it too silly. "Don't call me that. Call me Aman."
"Of course, but I get it. You do remind me of Bernard. After I left back then, I read some more, and I imagined Bernard looking like you."
Aman blushed. He had no idea how to react like that. Why was his mind all jumbled. He had been dating Nora, but he never felt like this with her.
"Amywhere you want to go for coffee?" Sam asked.
"I'm not sure."
"Hmm... It's late. I'm not sure how many places are open for much longer. We could go to your place or mine. I don't live far away."
Aman gulped. Did he want to be in private with Sam? He couldn't lie to himself. He did want Sam to pin him down and penetrate him, but he was still in a relationship with Nora. Necermind that, it was just coffee and chat, right?. It should be fine. Aman had the impression that relationship between men turned sexual quite quickly, but it's not like they had to. Sam seemed like a sweet guy. What to do?
