Georgia recalled the odd sensation of the wings sprouting from her back. It had been so sudden and unexpected, she didn't have any time to understand or appreciate what had happened to her. It almost seemed like a dream, to tell the truth. The possibilities of what she could do with Reality Writer Pro were mind-boggling, but unexpected consequences might lead to problems which she would have a hard time reversing. Better to start with something small and get comfortable with how the program worked.
Also, it would be easier to verify results if Georgia tried it on herself first. She made sure the "Reality Alteration" box was checked, since that would ensure that her changes wouldn't result in her being carted off to a lab or somesuch. Although technically, she should be able to avoid that kind of result if she worded her statements carefully. In the end, the ad was right; the buyer would have to take their writing to the next level if they wanted to change the world exactly how they envisioned it. A stray adjective or punctuation, and the world could be changed in ways horrendous rather than wonderful.
Georgia looked over at the mirror in the corner of her room and stared at her reflection. She contemplated what kind of change to make that would be minimal enough that it would not inconvenience her but irrational enough that it would cause enough ripple effects in reality so that she could see exactly how much the program would alter. Changing her body seemed like the best first step. Turning back to the blank document she had opened, Georgia began to type.
